I probably do, even if some of them probably are in the closet. I know one person who is bi though and open about it.

People get their ass kicked because they are bad at fighting not because they are gay

getting your ass kicked can happen to everyone, sexual orientation aside
Hey! Is that the point over there?

Yeah. You missed it.

I have several gay friends, and I know a couple of girls that sleep with other girls from time to time, but strangely enough I don't have any actual lesbian friends. I don't have any idea why that would be.

Not really people don't get their ass kicked if they know how to fight

I'm bi so I know a lot of gay and bi girls, mainly because if you're out first you get a rep. Sort of a 'I think I might be gay, I know someone I can practice on' thing. Now they're all just my friends.

Right. I guess this guy should have just learned to fight:

And this guy:

AND these guys:

They're gay! Don't they know they're supposed to be in the gym all the time learning to defend themselves from bigots!

Yes they should of, self defence is never a wasted life skill for anyone.
Bigots punch just as hard as non-bigots any number of reasons can lead to people taking a swing at you, why they do it really doesn't matter.

My Brother's gay actually, he led the GLBT society in college and regularly goes on marches, he's done good work for the pride parades and really raised awareness for GLBT. Recently my dad performed at an event based around family, it was a roaring sucess. His gay friends are all lovely as well actually.

Yeah, one of my best friends in High School was Bi and at least a handful of my close friends are Gay/Lesbian.

It's not really a big deal, the only awkwardness is the initial "reveal" where they're not sure how I'm going to react.
It's tough having a friend look at you like you may very well sock him in the teeth because he's just come out of the closet.

It doesn't change anything in our relationships with one another, I don't see why it should.
Your friend thought you would hit him for being gay?

When was this, the 50s?

OT: Of course. Something like 30% of Australian's over 18 years of age claimed to be Homosexual or Bisexual in the last census.

Dude, just friends? My parents are bi and my sister's a lesbian. Funnily enough, I'm straight as they get.
