Poll: Do you have Happiness?

I voted yes, but i think content is a more accurate description. Life feels okay at the moment, I like things the way they are. But happiness...? Just sort out my mood swings, cos then I can get a guy

What I actually meant was once my mood swings are sorted I can cope with a steady boyfriend, rather than the general chatting I do on here.

If you wouldn't have your unhappiness any other way, wouldn't that mean you're happy with being unhappy.

I'd say I'm happy. Not overly happy, but I'm content with the way things are, I have a rather good life at the moment.

nah, not really happy... most of my friends go to different schools now, people in my new school kinda suck, can't be bothered with education anymore, and i'm doubting whether i'll be able to achieve my dreams

I'm in a really bad mood right now, the kind that makes me want to stab people for having the audacity to breathe. I'm about as far from happy as I can get. But I still voted yes, because this is not the normal me.

I have a fantastic girlfriend who makes me happy every day for most of my waking (and sleeping) hours. Without her I wouldn't be happy but I do so yes all the way.

Life is what you make of it. I appreciate what I have and I change the things I don't like, so yeah, I'm really happy.

I just spent a couple of hours playing with my baby neice, which has me especially thrilled.

I define happiness as contentment with life, not a temporary feeling like joy, more an overall state of mind. By that definition, I am not happy, haven't been for three years, back in school where I had no worries whatsoever. That doesn't mean that I'm depressed or that I'm not glad sometimes, I'm feeling pretty good right now, but I'm not completely satisfied with my life at the moment(no job, no direction etc).

Pretty much this, in fact I was hanging out with a friend today and it pretty much turned into a massive nostalgia trip about how awesome school was in comparison to now. No worries, commitments or responsibilities, plus a sense of purpose and meaning and the opportunity to be around friends all the time tops the aimless wandering and occasionally seeing friends that I have now.

Similarly I wouldn't say I'm content, as there are a number of things I still very much desire. And seeing as I equate my happy levels with my contentment levels I'd say I'm like the bubble in a spirit meter, generally in the middle.

I have started drinking a little though, which is apparently cause for celebration with some of my nearest and dearest. Not so impressed when I tell them I think Carling and Pedigree's both taste the same and that taste is piss but there ya go.

I'm nearly always happy. Until I think about what I'm missing in my life for too long. Then it'll take me a couple of hours to get back up to happy.
