WITHOUT, shaving for like a week after having a neckbeard. Do you just let your neckbeard stay and not bother with it?

I recently lost my job and have stopped shaving, I have a full beard now and I don't intend to shave until I get another job. I also feel like a shut in

So do you have a neckbeard?
I'm currently a student, so I've caught myself not shaving as often as I normally would (Not at all if the GF's out of town), and I've found that the "neckbeard" is an itchy nuisance. Not only that, but it also reduces the chances of getting any of the "normal" jobs, as bosses tend to see a neckbeard as an indication of sloth.

My advice is thus; get rid of it before every job interview, and every time it's long enough to itch otherwise. Good luck in your search :)

Nope. I'm rocking a Riker Beard.

The sexiest of beards.

This, although I keep it trimmed even further up the neck than Riker does (think chin strap, really.) I don't know how people can go around with a permanent neck beard; every time I go more than a day or two without shaving (which lets the hair on my neck start to grow) I wind up with irritated patches of skin where the neck beard has been rubbing against non-bearded parts of my skin. It's like sandpaper, and I don't see why anyone would voluntarily keep it. Unless they had enough time to take it from neckbeard to Gandalf beard, anyway.

Nope, the most I get is scraggly hairs on my chin and upper lip. But I would never grow a neckbeard if I had the capacity to. I just think it looks stupid

I don't just get neckbeard, I get GRISSLY neckbeard. When my beard gets to be about a week old, it goes a bit ginger and wirey, kinda like a viking, or that old episode of Family Guy where Peter grows a beard with birds in it, just like that. Usually when I'm not working I don't shave, so after say, 2 weeks vacation I'm like Grissly Adams - the beard actually starts to turn on me, gets itchy and jaggy, and eventually becomes self aware.

I have to use clippers before wet shaving when it's like that, otherwise it's bloody agony.

I utterly despise neckbeards. There was this one guy at my school who I was pretty sure believed that he had a pretty rockin' beard despite the fact that it looked roughly like somebody had glued some spare pubic hairs to his face. A neckbeard is either a beard for someone who can't grow a proper beard (in which case they should actually just give up) or a half-assed beard (in which case they should shave or it follow it through to a full beard).

No, at least I hope not. One of my friends has one growing though and it looks weird.

Sometimes, when I'm lazy and I just plain don't care.
Though, when I was trying to grow my beard out, I did make a point to shave my neck.

I have yet to be able to grow a beard. My family wasn't exactly gifted with facial hair.

Although... When I lasted shaved to get rid of my pathetic mustache and goatee thing that comes in, I did notice a few black hairs of my cheeks. There's hope for me yet.

Oh, and I'd never grow a neck beard if it wasn't at least accompanied by facial hair. But if the day comes where I actually get some facial hair, there were never be a moment without some sort of beard. You bearded folks have no idea how lucky you are.

When I grow it's fucking itchy, that's my alarm for when i need to shave. I can't grow a full beard though, just a goat beard and mustache even though I have chest hair.

I have the capacity to grow a neckbeard. But it doesn't look very flattering, so I keep it in check.

Neckbeard is the closest thing to facial hair that I can grow, unfortunately.
I keep mine because I don't have any reason to get rid of it, such as being gainfully employed or having a girlfriend.
