If it looks slightly threatening, its going to die.

So no.

Just give me a gun and I'll shoot pretty much anything. I don't really care how it's shaped as long as it's fun to kill it.

"As long as I have boomstick in hand I need not fear the masses"-Gordon Freeman, Terisicus 24:8

Well I tend to fin that it's all about adaptation, if you go into these things with an open mind and expect nothing then you should soon get the swing of things.

Though just for the record remember those fast headcrab zombie in half-life 2. THOSE THINGS WERE A PAIN IN THE NECK!

I don't have problems taking anything out in shooters, because my hyper-advanced alien brain knows that they are all really just strings of code.
In the nasty little game known as RealLife, however, I have trouble taking out even mosquitoes.

hmmm... when I read the title I thought it was going to be some morality issue thing lol. My response was going to be :Nopw, take halo for example. Once your a flood, your pretty much F***** and anybody with good sense probably wouldnt mind getting killed at that point.

OkOkOk real answer: no. Like the military which I know so many who proudly serve, I think targeting should keep a human shape as its only protocol. For instance: When my cousin is in a fire fight in the middle east, and is told to give suppressing fire, he isnt aiming for an individual person, but rather an area. In an FPS, you could think of it like this: its about knowing how big that area is and aiming accordingly.

I have problems with their shape especially when the first few levels require you to learn how to kill humans.

Nah, I have a vary willing-to-change brain. It doesnt take me long to learn something new, and I dont need to relearn the thing I left when I come back.

The only time this is really an issue for me is when I have to randomly shoot monkeys instead of taller foes. Otherwise, if I know what type of foes I'll generally be dealing with it's not a problem.

It's not really a problem since most of these creatures are usually squishy and without armor.
When I encounter a new weird looking creature I try to spot what it uses for eyes and aim there.
