Hi guys, used the search bar found people talking about it but no one asking if people use this feature.

So guys do you install your games to your xbox 360 hard drive?

I think it uses up WAY too much space to ever justify doing it. and I'm not even short on hard drive space, I'm just frugal like that.

it does speed up loading times and take out the annoying sound of the cd rom, but i only do it to the games that i play alot like at the moment i have COD4 (casue its fun) and dead space becasue im working through it

I use it to check if the CD is in playable condition! Once I complete a game I delete it.

i've never bothered, i just don't see the point to be honest. especially with the ridiculous memory it wastes.

I did it once, because the disc wasn't loading properly.

But otherwise no, I only have a 20gb hard drive, and buying a bigger one is yet to be justified.

I do but only because my dvd drive died on my last 360 and I won't be buying a third.
I can't say I've noticed any actual difference in noise or loading times but hey, if there's a chance that it'll keep my 360 alive until Mass Effect 3, then I'm willing to install games, it's not like I'm short of space anyways.

Only ever did it with Dead Space because I wanted it to be COMPLETELY quiet except for the game audio which was cranked on surround sound at 3 AM...it was fun =)

Sometimes, but only when I play the game actively. I've got an early model 360 with only a 20 GB HDD, so it's filled up pretty quickly. It really helps keeping the 360 noise down, so I wish I could install more of my games. Maybe I'll get a new one one day, this one just won't break down. No really, one of the early models, got it for 3-4 years now, not a single RROD or other console breaking problem.

Did it for awhile fro Tales of vesperia but took it off because of it was using space I needed for other things.

Well, I have nothing better to do with my 120gb hard-drive, so whenever I get a new game, I'll install it, and if I play an old game a lot I will too.

Can't say I do. I only have 10gb free on my hard drive and there's not enough noticeable difference to justify it.

And sorry about this, but are beach avatars a new fad or something?
