From someone who is on the outside looking in, whenever I like to play devil's advocate, my argument for this is basically:

When you see an animated action scene, you may get excited and entertained, and that's what it was made for, to entertain/excite.

When you see an animated dramatic/sad scene, you may feel sad, and that was what it was made to do, invoke sadness.

When you see hentai, you may get aroused, and that was it's purpose, to arouse. Technically if you say "*insert video game/anime/comic character here* looks badass/ugly/etc" I could then say "it's not real though..." and why would that be wrong?

Hentai is designed to titillate. It might be weird if you were watching National Geographic and getting aroused, because that's not what it's purpose was, but that is the purpose of hentai.

I think all porn is simply a matter of state of mind. You can watch a porn film with your friends and laugh without feeling anything or you could find yourself extremely horny and be turned on by the worst sex scene ever made.

Don't you have to be 18 to buy porn in Iceland? And correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the only Icelandic porn magazine Bleikt og Blátt? And that can barely be counted as porn.


I myself do not own any porn in IRL but I have a small nest egg on my computer from ages ago when I found myself in a bad state after my internet connection went down. I rarely look at it though since I can just google 'porn'. And those of you that hide your porn on your computer should still be careful. It's extremely easy to find whatever porn you have stashed on your hard-drive and it can be rather humiliating if members of the opposite sex happen to be there as well.

The legal age of buying porn is 14.And we have foreign porn magazines too.
