And you are not improving your image by insulting the person you are talking to.

Yeah, I know people are "diagnosed". But it IS a poor excuse. Here's how it works:

1. Kid is poor at grammar.
2. Parents try or don't try to help him.
3. Kid doesn't try.
4. Parents go to a psychologist who says "you have dyslexia, here's a piece of paper saying so, now you get 30 more minutes at tests and you can make twice the amount of mistakes as the normal person".
5. People think dyslexia is real.

Any dys- illness is just a poor excuse. I could say a have a dysgraphia, because I write "like with a chicken's nail", how we say it here.

But there is no such thing as dysgraphia. I was just too lazy (or just not challenged enough at school) to practice my writing. Same as why my "dyslexist" friends are too lazy to study.
Have you got any basis for this? Any evidence at all? i don't know if this is what happened to your friends, but its certainly not what happened to me.

You don't know what you're talking about. I'd advise you to sit quietly and listen to the adults talking for a bit, or you can keep on discussing something over your head and looking more and more foolish.

There is a real disability called "dyslexia" [http://dpi.wi.gov/sped/ld-dyslexia.html]; it can be diagnosed clinically, and it shows up on MRI [http://www.eradimaging.com/site/article.cfm?ID=244]. It is indeed overdiagnosed sometimes, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

EDIT: Also, whoah are there a bunch of... well, I think you know what this thread is full of.
Guess why national tests never have people with more than 160-170 IQ?

Because it would mean you are in 0.003% of world's population, as only 0.003% of the world has 160+ IQ.

Even my 148 is unbelievably high... that is, it was, now it's a bit less, considering it has been about 4 years since my last serious test.

I especially rofl at person claiming to have IQ 200. Everyone who has 200+ IQ is known world-wide. You can find them at the Internet.

No, I was meaning something else. Something that probably would get me warned. Something you are.

I don't know mine because I honestly think that IQ is overrated. I think that if I knew, it would just provide temptation for me to become an egotistical dumbass if it was high or a petty dumbass if low. So I try to keep that stuff away from me.

Adults talk about a lot of stupid things.

Sure, there might be an illness that causes people to make mistakes.

But I have yet to meet someone that has such a problem, and not just laziness.

My brother is dyslexic, and I have yet to meet someone who is harder working than he is.

I know someone with dyslexia that isn't just lazy, it is hard for him, he has trouble reading and writing, and is very insecure about it.

I don't know, so I'll put an answer that is the answer for any question! 17
I think you mean 42 not 17. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...fe.2C_the_Universe.2C_and_Everything_.2842.29
Nope, but I may have to use that...
I was thinking of the South Park episode "Awesome-O" when a man asks Cartman (dressed as Awesome-O) "How much wood could a wood-chuck chuck, if a wood-chuck could chuck wood?" to which he replies "uh...17"

I might just do that. It will take me a few years though(age thing again)
No, you don't wait a few years. The Guiness book of world records doesn't have an age limit. You're 18. Call them up and say you score 210 on IQ tests. Have them test you. You can be in there by next year's issue.

Also, you say you AVERAGE 210 on IQ tests? As previously stated in this thread, there are two commonly recognized IQ tests that are accepted as reliable sources. Even if you've taken both, it would hardly be that hard for you to remember both figures (especially if you're such a genius).

Also, you say there's no official paper with your result, because there are so many. Well, just give us one, then. We'll settle for any test result you have. Show us.

When my college made me do a dyslexia test, part of it was a general IQ test, i scored in the top 99.9 percentile and my spatial awareness is off the charts. But then my memory is in the bottom 4 percentile. The only reason i can still remember this is i kept the report the tester made and whip it out whenever i need a good old ego boost.

And in the UK the average IQ is actually 111 on which ever test mensa use as they had re-calculated what the mean was for a long old while and everyone had been eating their greens and getting way cleverer.
