Poll: Do you leave your toilet lid open?

Do you? I know I usually do, except when I take a #2. Here's a pic for those who don't understand:

Today I learnt a very important lesson concerning that question.
I took the freedom of editing the provided picture in order to make my point clear.

When you leave the lid upon during your physical / mental absence from the bathroom, it opens the energy flow to the water in the toilet what enables ghosts and other nasty stuff to creep up from down there.

By closing it, you cut the stream of energy, and by this you prevent uninvited entities from entering your private sphere, since they stay trapped within the toilet.

I leave it with the lid down but other people in my house seem to disagree with that. (I happen to like that when I close that lid I know that my dog won't be drinking water from where my poop was, but apparently other people in my house don't share this sentiment). Also, that whole "bacteria spraying up out of the toilet when you flush" reason.

I close it just because it doesn't look as neat and tidy, and besides that when you leave it open you leave a greater potential of something accidentally falling in.

Yeah, in fact, I have one buddy who always puts the seat up (and worse; leaves it up) when he's using my bathroom. I've actually drawn a big sign on my door specifically telling him to lower it. I wrapped the inside of my toilet door with whiteboard-vinyl, which is something I can recommend anyone. Awesome way to draw notes, doodles or otherwise entertain yourself and others while spending time there.

Yep, I pretty much always leave the seat up. I've seen crappy sitcoms/stand up acts where women ***** about men leaving the seat up. But, I have never lived with a woman who seemed to care. So until then I have no reason to change.
