He can sing, but he mostly just growls inhumanly...
I have yet to hear him do the former.
What songs have you heard?
I have no idea what they were called, the ones that sounded like a cat being tied to a barbed wire fence and stretched until it's guts came flying out.

Edit: Oh wait, sorry that doesn't really help narrow the search down at all does it? They all sound like that

Believe was my favorite CD of their's, Indestructible was good, mostly the songs Criminal and Facade.
Believe was a good album though most the songs on Indestructible sound almost the same. They could have mixed it up a bit, only Inside the Fire is completely different to the others.
They didn't really experiment much with indestructable, it was really easy to get into, but now, a couple months late, I find myself listening to believe more....my favorite song on idestructible is either criminal or deciever.

ouch......you are the first one to actually give a point for not liking them...you have to listen to the songs that aren't played on the radio to find the good ones where he sings, as much of their music on the radio is just crappy...

If you cared about good singing, why would you dig through Disturbed's b-sides just to find servicable melodies?

If I want singing I'm sticking in Otis Redding.. and if I want cookie monster growls i'm popping in MonsterX or Brujeria.

Hey,
I really like Disturbed but they are not really metal... They are mor Hard rock. If you want metal then check out Iron Maiden or Slayer,etc...
I liked they're sings, even the recent album.
*Note* Lots of good bands I know have sold out and the newer music isn't as good.

More off this topic but I also like Three Days Grace... their music has gotten me through some tough times.
xoxo

I think that Disturbed are johnny come latelies to a scene that was dead before they even made a song. Anything ever squatted out by the "new metal" scene was already done better by either hardcore, industrial, or black metal music before it.
the sad part is most of them credit Mike Patton and faith no more as their main influence. it's something that makes Mike ashamed to have ever been in fnm

i was trying to find a quote from Dave "Oderus" Brockie where he calls them a bunch of irrelevant losers that need to grow up

haha

That's harsh. There a hillarious clip on YouTube where Mike Patton is doing an interview and Wolfmother comes on in the background, he stops the interview and asks, "Wait, are you listening to this shit? What time period are we in? Holy shit."

Helmet + Mike Patton = Nu Metal

Calm down, it's only been 5 or so minutes!
That's what she said. Couldn't help it.

Anyway: Disturbed is about as Metal as Godsmack is. That meaning, this Nu Metal, is BS. It's the sub-genre made when some dick cheese classified Puddle of Mudd as Hard Rock.
I'm not too big on Disturbed, I don't hate them, I don't like them. What I hate is that they remade a Phil Collins song with a straight face.
Phil Collins pisses me off.....

I like their version better...o_O

Don't like them. I find them unintelligent, cliched, misogynist and frankly, boring.

They're not my favourite band ever, but I can't say I don't like them. While a lot of their stuff tends to blend together for me, there are a few standout songs that I'll listen to over and over.
They actually played locally last night, and I was a tad disappointed that I couldn't get tickets. I wanted to hear Stricken live! My friend did though, so I look forward to her verdict.

And as was said before, I like their music, but not the band.
