I like dubstep, but its something you either love or you hate. It's a hard genre to recommend to people and if they aren't into it you probably aren't going to change their mind.
There should be an option in the poll to express indifference because I don't mind dubstep. Its fun when you're at a show in the crowd and everyone is dancing and having a good time. I can't in all honesty say that I enjoy sitting at my computer and listening to dubstep. Basically every dubstep song goes like this quiet intro followed by " wub wub wub wubwubwub WUBWUB WUBWUBWUB WUB wub wub wub" then that is followed by the quieter outro.
I recently got into Dubstep about 2 months ago and loved it ever since and you brought up one of my favorite songs from Skrillex although i like the sped up version and Cinema.
Eh, I think its pretty creative, but not my taste. I enjoy old school punk rock and progressive rock. Here you go, it's a huge change in pace from this topic, but this song will put you in a trance =P
But then you're more interested in the spectacle than in the music itself. ANYTHING blasted through sufficiently over the top speaker systems impresses in a certain way. If you need that situation in order to enjoy a tune, then the tune itself can't have much in the way of inherent value.
As it turns out, though, I actually quite liked that clip. Good pacing, with a much more subtle beat to it than most examples of the genre. If more of it was like that, it wouldn't be so controversial, methinks.

So yes, I like some dubstep (and I'm sad that my Sennheiser headphones died before I bought that, I bet they'd have added a lot to the sound). I'm still more of a trance person, though.
No. It is just noise. There is nothing musical about putting a shitty bass warble over songs and butchering them for everyone. The genre needs to die in a hole so we can get back to real music.
It sounds like something I might enjoy as a soundtrack of a game (preferably one with shooting aliens in a scifi-environment), but nothing I would listen on it's own.
No. I can understand the appeal (kindof), but it's not for me. In fact, most of it hurts my ears. But this one time I heard one wih some nice saxophone whenever it wasn't going "wubwubwub", but other than that it was pretty bad.
I do. There is good dubstep out there. But it's like fan fiction, there's a lot of shit as well, and unfortunately to have to sift through the shit to find the good stuff.
Two of my friends are really into it, but I've tried it and I honestly can't stand it. Electronic music holds no emotional weight for me, and frequently gets obnoxious.
No, my friends listen to it. They tried to make me listen to it, and i responded, "oh, so electronic music with more bass?" and I was instantly corrected that "Its dubstep and you just wouldn't get it." No I think i get it better than you do, it's just redubs of theme songs and stuff and I'm unimpressed! No offense to anyone that likes it btw.
  I liked the genre a few years back when Benga, Rusko, Caspa and Skream were doing their thing. That said, I liked grime, which if you follow electronic music of sorts you should see the clear progression. Terror Danjah's song Code Morse should give a very nice example of this.

  Now though, it seams like the genre revolves solely around "the drop" and making it sound as hardcore as possible, by this I mean shoving as many drops, samples and wobbles into a short amount of time. I know I am going out on a limb with this but, I very much dislike Skrillex and what he represents in dubstep. Scary monsters and Nice Sprites is a perfect example.
 
  This is my kind of dubstep. Something you can just sit back and soak up the body-warping vibrations with while closing your eyes and drifting off with your imagination.
