Biased poll is biased;
If you read the my first post you'd see I apologized for that and that it was an accident.

As for the other replies, it seems a lot of people have a lot of complaints about the beach, as I've said I love it. I live in Portugal so I have a lot of great beaches. I don't mind the other people, only when they get in the way when I'm trying to skimboard or run into the water and whatnot. I don't mind the sand, it's part of the deal. I love the feeling of getting home tired from a long day on the beach, having a shower, contemplating my new suntan/burn, having a nice dinner and crashing onto bed waking on the next day to do it again.

Nope.

I can't swim due to problems with my ear.

I can enjoy the good weather just as well in a forest.

I would say lightly dressed girls "is a bonus", but selfdisgust in doing so, makes it less appealing.

I surf so... Fuck yes, I love the beach.

At the moment it is winter so when I go down I get outclassed something serious because only the hardcore surfers go down in winter. So when summer comes around I should look good.

Hopefully...

Sure. I don't like the sand that gets in everything - you know how you wash the sand off in the water? How the hell do you get back up the beach, to the car, without getting sand all over yourself again? I've never figured out how to do this and it drives me nuts.

I also hate how it's usually windy as hell. Aside from that, I love going to the beach - the beaches around here are awesome in the summer. The water's just so nice.
Take a brush with you. when you are about to get into the car just brush the sand right off.

No, I hate it. The sand get's everywhere, and it's abnormally hot to be sitting on the beach for more than 30 min. And also, I don't like the thought of being in a body of water that has fish/jellyfish/insects and the sorts, so I stay clear.

Sure it can be fun. Although I have to admit that I`m kinda vary of my body not looking very good, so I always try to lose some before going to the beach and that losing weight part is not fun.

Nope, 'fraid not.

Beaches are not made for unattractive nerdy types. Plus, I'm not all that fond of the heat.

'Tis something of a shame, since I live in Australia.

I love the beach, but I only hit it when its early in the morning or sometime in the afternoon after its cooled down a bit. A while back I went to the beach around noon and the sand was so hot it burned my feet. It made walking around a pain in the ass, I had to walk around on my heels.

I have very light skin, as in: "mmmm it's sunny today, better crawl back into my coffin or I will burn alive and will leave nothing but a little pile of ash."

You do the math.

EDIT:
Also for all the 'aussies' out there claiming that their beaches are awesome. Don't you guys and gals live in a nation that supports quite a large population of salt water crocodiles?

Back when my sister went backpacking to Australia and she went to the beach she actually got warned to keep paying attention, because one of them buggers could try to sneak up on her.

I live in the North East of England, we don't get many sunny days here. And when we do, I can't go to the beach as it is not sand, it is bloody great rocks all over the place mixed with used condoms and drug needles/bottles, not that I would want to go anyway. I hate the beach. I don't see the point in paying a fortune to go on holiday to lay on a beach. It's a pointless waste of money and time if you ask me.

Depends what beach, I really hate the busy ones full of fat people and screaming kids. But I can still enjoy going to other, less busy, beaches.

I hate it. The sand is hot, summer is sticky and disguisting (typicially I not dragged to the beach except during summer) and there are always countless flies, fat people and children. At times an empty beach can be fun, for playing cricket and the like, but really any open space will suffice and it works equally well at a park or sports ground.

Bring on the snow!
my opinion exactly.

The last time I went to the beach was the most relaxed day I had in years. Sound of the waves, sun on my skin, sand underneath my feet and a good book. Or just a nap, just closing my eyes and listen to the waves and wind.

It was the first day in ages that I could finally completely and totally let all my worries slide of me, if only for just a few hours. Absolutely brilliant.

So yes, I like the beach. Very much so indeed.
