Australian from Geelong and with an ancestral holiday house on the far Surf Coast, I love it.

Best Poll ever by the way.

Oh yes, I have lived in the vicinity of some of Australia's most prominent beaches (Manly, Dee Why and Bondi. The holy trinity) my entire life and going to the beach has always been an integral part of my existence.

I don't remember the last time I went to a beach. Water, sunny weather, and walking around in a swimming suit are all things that do not appeal to me in the slightest.

Australian Beaches are the bomb =D
2nd post in, I'm impressed.

OT: Being in Australia, I do enjoy going to the beach. Don't do it enough though.

No, i hate it. Or not hate, i just think its pointless. Its water and sand. I never saw the point, let alone the appeal.
This pretty much sums up my thoughts on the subject.

Personally I've always thought of the idea of playing in sand and freezing cold water as boring and pointless.

No.

I dont like the heat, the sand gets in between my toes and the sea in the U.K is always really cold and really salty.

If it was a sandy beach; no. If it was a rock-beach, yes. I hate sand. but I don't know, I think it depends on who I go there with... I always burn on the beach. And OP, I'm pretty sure you can hit "edit", and ad other options. Jus' sayin'.

No, I hate it. It's all hot and gross, you need to lather up in sunscreen, you need to be near other people, it usually smells weird, and the water has gross things in it. Also, sunburn. Every time. And that sand. The god-damned sand. It just... everywhere. On everything. It violates.

Screw you, beach.

Living in Queensland, I'm programmed at birth to love the beach. Thankfully my C Drive crashed when I sat through a Ren and Stimpy Marathon at the ripe old age of 5. Honestly, I hate the beach. And sand.. Oh god do I hate sand.

I live in a very touristy area by the beach, so right around this time of year it gets too hot and crowded to be enjoyable, it's a pebble beach so no sand to play with (so what if I'm 20?) and I've seen stuff floating in the water that's made me never want to swim in it. Ever.

However, during winter it's great. Nobody around, so I can just find a nice spot all to myself and think whilst listening to the sounds of the waves...

Hell yeah i love the beach. Its in my blood. Hell me and my friends are already planning a trip to the beach for this summer, i'm considering investing in a fishing spear. For the swimming knives of course.

Australian beaches are the best. We get games late, at a higher price and sometimes cesnored, but we have the best beaches.
