I can watch and listen only to so much before i end up hating the world and getting wound up. I also hate hearing about anywhere except my own country since as far as im concerned, if it doesnt affect us, who gives a damn (no offence but i really hate to hear anything major about my country yet alone other countries also).

I like it when the news is interesting.
Or just for the sake of knowing what is happening on this backwater planet.
hell, I suppose I like hearing/reading the news, as long as it contains no spoilers for games/books/films and such.

I like reading the news, in fact the BBC is my homepage

Don't generally like watching the news. Bores the crap out of me because often there are a ton of stories that they fixate on, and I couldn't really give a shit

The news is unrelated to my life. If something very important comes up that isn't involving me, then I'll hear about it soon enough without seeing it on the news. Example = Haiti.

I usually skim through the headlines in the RSS feeds I have from some news websites. It's only 2 I'm using at the moment and only Danish ones... If anybody know any good English news sites and with good RSS feeds, please give me a shout : )

I'm only interested in the news if it's something importantly enough that quite literally everyone will know. In which case I am interested to the point of being able to not seem like a complete hermit.

I always do, because I figure nothing bad can ever come from learning.

Unless it's some kind of government secret that will have the men in black come to my house and murderize me, I want to know. If it's depressing, then I'll risk getting depressed.

I always look up the news to see what is going on in the world. But I also know what to avoid when it comes to news (The Sun,Daily Mail). Also to see what people are complaining about now so I can complain with them sometimes.

Not particularly as in the UK nothing is ever reported unless it's horribly depressing. Always omitting the good news...

Still, gotta keep up with what's going on.

I might as well read novels and play video games. About the only thing my t.v. is useful anymore.

The news, I really couldn't care less about. A few people in a country I never heard about died when a volcano erupted. I didn't live there, I don't live there and I don't care. Besides, it's not a good idea to build your home at the foot of an active volcano.

If it's local, I watch it. If it's about a crisis in the world outside my own, I don't.

I sound like an asshole I know, I'm just not all that altruistic.
