I was once dragged along to one of her early concerts by a friend that I am suspicious of being gay (not that it's a bad thing, I'm just wondering if it's true, and starting to think it is)

Around the time she started spelling Bananas I was like: "fuck this" and left.

The next time I saw her was on Saturday Night Live when she had some sort of orbiting-rings costume that kept hitting her in the face, it was hilarious.
