I grew up in the 80s and early 90s, she isn't doing anything I haven't seen before.

If you take Madonna, make her uglier yet more slutty, add a bit of Marlyn Manson, make his weirdness less demonic and cool, and mix it in with the bland yet catchy club music of the last 10 years....you'd have Lady Gaga.

Still when it comes to Pop music it's better than all the garbage we got from he last wave of teenie-poppers like Britney or Backstreet Boys.

Those kids killed music for me...-_-

I'm surprised by how many people got 'Madonna' though. I hate Madonna, whereas Lady Gaga seems like, although she's late on the bandwagon, she has as much artistic merit as Andy Warhol and his hellish progeny.

In fact, I'd be more inclined to call her a cross between Debbie Harry, Peter Gabriel, and Andy Warhol. I think that fits.

No. Her music is terrible (especially her lyrics) and her whole persona is pretty much a gimmick.

Her music isn't all that great, but they have a habit of staying in your head for so long, until they just want to make you apply blunt trauma to your head so you forget about everything altogether. That, and she's absolutely insane, both in appearance and personality. Honestly, if I want to listen to really good pop music, I'll get a Michael Jackson CD, or maybe listen to some of Rihanna. Not goddamn Lady Gaga.
