Wow i love how chose the answers are on the poll to me shes not the best one but she is one of the great ones and her songs are wicked catchy the first time i heard Just Dance at my school dance i couldn't get it out of my head
I gotta say I wasn't a fan starting out.... she just got on my nerves. But, thanks to a friend of mine who played The Fame Monster on repeat in her car, I ended up liking most of the songs.
She is original though in her sense of style. That alone deserves props considering how many lemmings there are out there.

she's a breath of fresh air in comparison to the rest of mainstream music, the individuals have all vanished, now we're left with manufactured pop-punk with no personality. I put her in the same basket as Pete Doherty, love them or loathe them, they are the some of the finest creative minds in music
Freak is not my choice of word. My choice of word is Character. I do not like her because she is a character but that is because of how she USED to be and how she is NOW. Go look her up on youtube for her NYU Talent Show and she was very normal so to say. Also in the video where she was on MTV's Boiling Points. What pisses me off most about her is that she says that she is being herself even though on the contrary to that statement she was very different before she got signed. People say that she gives them the power to be themselves for being who she is which I find to be a load of Grade-A Bull Shit because if you look hard enough at everything about her the videos and such she is not being herself. She is being what she believes will give her her 15 minutes of fame. I give her 2-3 years before she becomes socially irrelevant like the Back Street Boys and N'Sync.Thedayrecker said:

Really, she doesn't do anything unique but one-ups other "Edgy" female artists. From Brittany to Madonna, to fucking Gwen Stefani..
She's just using a formula that works, and although I highly dislike pop songs in general, I applaud her success in fooling everyone.
