The question is simple, what is the greatest nut, of all, time, what seasoning or other topping do you like most on it and what way do you like to eat it?

I for one am a fan of Almonds, particularly chocolate covered ones because well, they're chocolate on the outside, and they have a nut in the center, that's practically candy.

And second to that I also like Peanuts, because it makes it sort of like a game to get your snack since the Peanut's all like "Hey, you could eat me and I'm delicious, but you'll have to open my shell first sucker!" and there's so many ways you can try to open it, you can try smashing it, you can try crushing one end with you teeth and then peeling it open or you can be lazy bastard and just buy a nut cracker or some similar device.

I don't really like them much, although I tolerate peanuts, mostly because I like peanut butter and chocolate together.

Yes. I especially enjoy cramming lots of big nuts into my mouth.

OT: Salted peanuts all the way for snacks, almonds for sweet things. Hazelnuts get a shout for hazelnut spreads as well.

But peanuts are usurpers! They are not a part of royal lineage by blood! D:

But yeah, Hazelnuts. I'm not much for eating nuts by themselves, but I could put them in tons of thing and it would be more enjoyable than other flavors.

Hrm... I need to make a hazelnut flan...

With that stuff, who the hell need cows anymore?!?! Wait! Better yet, let's genetically modify cows so that Almonds grow off their backs! It will be a horrible mutant abomination but well be able to have Almond milk and Cow milk in the same drink!

Good old-fashioned peanut. Works raw, salted, roasted. But roasted almonds is still the best.

Oh, I love nuts. Especially salty ones.
They taste sooo goood!
Really, if you've been on the Escapist IRC channel, chances are, you've seen my double entendres when I eat cashews. I just can't pass up the opportunity.
Dammit, I love cashews >.>

Seeing so many choose cashew over the more mainstream peanut makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Cashew is the best. No contest.

Pistachio
Followed by Penuts
Followed by "Beer nuts"
Followed by Cashews
Almonds are horrific.

Not whole ones. But when they're not whole I can't tell the difference...
I like stuff with hazelnut in it, so that I guess. And I hate pistachios but I'll spend ages sucking on the lovely salty shells. >.>

Don't think I've had a cashew before...or seen one. o.o
...
They look awful.

Nope, never been a fan of any kind of nut, and I've tried quite a few kinds. Just not my cup of tea, I guess.

Why not just feed the cows almonds? Genetically modify the cows to process almonds in their stomachs?

Pistachios, of course. However, they are closely followed by the Sahara nuts that some UK pubs sell (not sure what kind they are though), which taste awesome. And those are also closely trailed, very closely, by the Honey Roasted Peanuts and Cashews packs that Sainsbury's (a UK supermarket) sell. Which also taste divine...
