I'm glad that 95% of us can appreciate a quality fucking piece of entertainment when we see one. The climactic battle between the fleets and Luke/Vader is so epic good GOD how can you not love that movie?!?!?!?

I have never watched it.

..

What? I'm 15. That movie is twelve years older than me. My childhood movie was Batman Begins

Oh no! That means you missed out on the older batman movies! They sure aren't great, but the entertained the hell outta me as a kid.

I like Return of the Jedi. Not may favourite Star Wars film though, that spot belongs to The Phantom Menace!

Yes, mainly because of the space battle.

I was very happy that someone pieced the scenes together to make this video:

Screw the force, I wanted more space battles!

It's my favorite out of the series, followed closely Empire.

I am just a sucker for an epic and I am quite adept at ignoring small annoyances in movies. The final conflict with the simultaneous battle of Luke vs Vader, the massive space battle with the Star Destroyers, Han and Leia fighting on Endor and to top it off Billy Dee Williams going into the Death Star is one of the finest action scenes ever filmed.

I'm a year younger than you, boy!
Being young is no excuse for not seeing old movies!

Tell you what.
You go and watch Return of the Jedi, and I'll pretend this little "conversation" never happened.
Do eet!
Do eet now!

OT: Yeah, it's my favorite out of the originals.

You know, I once saw One Man Star Wars live.
I think Return was the best out of his performance.

It was the prelude to the fucked up prequels and couldn't hold up to Episode V. I find it odd that so many people like it.

I admit the first half is classic, but the second half is painful.

The first half, with Jabba the Hutt and such was brilliant. There were some epic battles and high stakes and it generally just felt fantastic.
Only problem... the damn Ewoks. Seriously, those could die in a pit for all I cared. Other than that, it was a great movie.

*favorited*

I loved the last movie and I didn't even mind the Ewoks that much. It was a good happy ending but it could have been better if Boba Fett had managed to survive (on screen), follow the Rebels to Endor and killed Han during the land battle. Leia could have then killed him and had a painful, passionate death scene with Han. Oh well, it was still a very good movie.

I loved every part of it.

When I was growing up, it was my favorite one. Whenever we went on a long car ride, I would bring it with me in hopes of watching it either on the way (we had a VCR player in our car) or actually at the place we were going to. I watched it so much that the hard paper cover ripped around the edges from me taking it out and putting it back in so much. I don't watch it as much nowadays, but it still remains my favorite.

Besides, who doesn't love Ackbar?
I'm pretty much the same way. When I was a kid, I found Empire boring, but Jedi was my favorite Star Wars film -- probably my favorite movie period. Today I prefer Empire, but I love the entire Original Trilogy.

And there's my "I feel old" moment for the day. I should not be having these at 20. Afterglow, do yourself a favor and see if you can get a hold of the unaltered cuts of the Original Trilogy. Watch them somewhere with a good Prologic or Prologic 2 setup, a big screen, and a dark room, and prepare to have your mind blown -- assuming, of course, that you aren't too old to begin the training.

I love return of the jedi, easily my favourite of all the star wars films (call me a pussy, but I like Luke skywalker!)

What really does the movie for me, is the epic Luke vs Darth Vader fight as well as the assault on the death startII

(initiate nerd mode)

Most people probably won't agree, but I LOVE the rebel alliance. This ragtag team of what feels like 500 guys, taking on an EMPIRE!
The alliance goes into the assault on the Death Star II with the Falcon, which only has blasters and handles like a piece of junk just like they say in the movies (play ANY star wars game that lets you it and tell me otherwise)

What looks like three squads of X-wings (consisting of maybe 5 ships in each squad) one y-wing squad consisting of 3, a b wing squad with maybe 4 (it's hard to tell you don't really see them) and an a-wing squad. Two mon-Calamari cruisers(THe good admirals and the one that gets decimated by the death star), a Nebulon-B class frigate (referred to as the medical frigate) and a few unnamed curellian corvettes and... oddly rebel transports...(what for? fucked if I know)

And they're up against what looks like well over 100 star destroyers, (If you want a bigger WOW factor about how big a star destroyer is, watch the beginning of episode 4 again, remind yourself that these things are MASSIVE and FREAKING SCARY) the executor (Darth Vader's personal star destroyer) which is the size of at least 6 or 7 regular star destroyers not to mention the death start itself (plus it's sheilded)

THAT'S what I call against all odds!

Fucking win!! Rebels Alliance!!

They are to quote a friend "sotally tawesome"

Seriously though. I don't have favourite anythings, but if I had one, these movies would rank up there with chocolate. Return of the Jedi is certainly among the top three of that series.

Did I actually just say anything there?

Very well, Escapists! I shall heed your wise advice and make my way towards the store now!

And while I'm at it, I might as well pick up 'Heat'. I've heard that it's one of the best 'heist' movie ever.

Not into Star Wars at all. It's tasteless and cheesy... That does not make culinary sense...
