And while I'm at it, I might as well pick up 'Heat'. I've heard that it's one of the best 'heist' movie ever.
Nah that would be the Italian Job, the original one.

I don't really like any of the Star Wars films. I can watch them, sure. But I'd never CHOOSE to watch them if something else was available as an alternative.

Ewoks were the only thing I didn't like about it. I mean come on, we were originally supposed to have freaking WOOKIES, and instead we get the muppets? That was bullshit, George! And yea, easily my least favorite of the three, and only three, Star Wars movies, but it was still really good, and it had one of the best fight scenes in any movie, ever, with Luke Vs Vader & Palpatine at the end.

Loved it. Ewoks get a lot of hate from some fanboys, but i think they´re alright. Sure, the movie is not at the same level as Empire, but it´s still extremely enteraining.

I loved it as a kid, and I like it now. All of Tatooine is pretty cool, and the Luke/Vader duel is awsome, but those damn Ewoks...

(also: Gaming discussion? Are we talking about the Atrari game?)

i have really mixed feelings about it. there are some parts i love, some i thought were utter shit.

overall, it was really good, especially for its time, the space battle was aweseome, ackbar, fuck yeah

but the lightsaber duel (heldback by its time and tech) was not that good or as epic as it should've been, episode one still holds the most epic lightsaber battling for me, between that and video game lightsaber battles of course.

if they were able to use todays tech and put it to episode 6, i really think it would be the best, but overall i rate it "good"

...it seems like there is a very mixed opnion over episode 6 Return of the Jedi.
not if the poll is to be believed it there isn't. only 10% of 128 don't like it.

Yea sure the ewoks are annoying, but I don't feel its detracts enough from the movie to say its bad. I liked it, regardless of jibbering ewoks.

Yes, the Ewoks are utterly lame and offensive. Also, the ethical issue of the rebels' exploiting their religious awe of Luke to take them to war against the Empire punches a big hole in the whole Rebel Alliance=good thing. Nevertheless, for every stumble there are two or more scenes of absolute awesomeness. All-in-all definitely a solid Star Wars movie, especially when you consider what came after.

Oh yeah; the celebration montage at the end in the post-prequels movie is precision-engineered from a block of solid weak.

Ok, Ill endure the pointless fanboy rage.

I saw the original trilogy long before the prequel trilogy came out.

I absolutely hated Star wars.

It wasnt until the aftermath of the prequel trilogy and what came out of it Such as KoTOR that I was able to gain any sort of appreciation for the Star wars Franchise. Before the prequel trilogy the franchise was lacking in real depth and the original trilogy was pointlessly cartoonish cowboys and knights in space. To this day I really cant understand all the hatred against the prequel trilogy because it is pretty much more of the same shallow nonsense that the original trilogy was. Not saying the prequel trilogy was good.. Im just saying the original trilogy was no better.

The ending gets cheesy, but yeah, I enjoyed it. Now I have a sudden urge to watch the Original Trilogy again; But I have finals. Must...be...productive.

The ewoks were not the sole thing to ruin it. EPisode three was better. Hell...Episode one was almost better., Do I like it? well yeah....but not as much as the other ones. Not by a long shot. Better than episode two, cheesier than episode one and three dialogue wise.....yeah

I loved it as a child probably my favourite of the trilogy, but as time has moved on I slowly came to realise that Empire Strikes Back is a much deeper film. I think the problem is when I'm watchin episode 5 I'm in awe of everything that happens, while when I'm watching episode 6 you're always thinking what if they'd have done this a little different or changed this part.

Still freaking love Return of the Jedi though, to be honest I love them all even the prequels.

Yes I like it. It is a much worse movie then the other 2 due completely and utterly to those damn ewoks. Every scene that doesn't involve those furry bastards is still as excellent as the excellent as the other 2, ESPECIALLY the stuff with Luke the emperor and Darth Vader. That is one of the best parts of the trilogy.

It's no Two Towers.
There's only one trilogy and it aint of the king, it's of the Jedi.

ROTJ is brilliant. Not as brilliant as ESB, but still brilliant

I have never watched it.

What? I'm 15. That movie is twelve years older than me. My childhood movie was Batman Begins
I'm 16 and I've probably seen it more than most 30 year olds. You should be ashamed of yourself for not seeing such an amazing movie. Go out and rent it right now. Age doesn't matter, I watch tons of movies that were out before I was born. Analyze This. Strange Brew. God, those are great movies!
