Yes I do. Admittedly, I'm the kind of Star Wars fan that likes all of the films in some way, but I like Return of the Jedi quite a lot. The Ewoks don't annoy me, it offers a great resolution to the saga and its still fun to watch.
Mate, so am I. I've watched every single star wars movie way more times than I can count. You have no excuse, hehehe.Afterglow- said:I have never watched it.

What? I'm 15. That movie is twelve years older than me. My childhood movie was Batman Begins
Holy Fishsticks, you just made my night! I was so looking forward to seeing what they could do with new tech in the prequels, and soooo disappointed when all I got was Anakin and Obi talking in their cockpits.Shockolate said:Yes, mainly because of the space battle.
I was very happy that someone pieced the scenes together to make this video:
Screw the force, I wanted more space battles!
If it makes you feel better, the Empire remained a threat for several years later, still hunting down rebels and such, and they are still around 130 years after Yavin, back in control of the galaxy. Well, a splinter section of the Empire is back in control. The other splinter is working with the Jedi and the remains of the Republic to restore order, but I digress...Midnight Crossroads said:No, the Empire lost. Also, the Ewoks beat the Imperial Army with sticks and twigs, the ending made no sense, and Leia reminds me too much of my mom to find her attractive in a bikini. Also, Ewoks. Although the confrontation between Luke, Vader -his redemption- and the Emperor were all cool.
My only problem with episode I is anakin blowing up the trade federation ship. If he had been 14 not 9 I wouldve ranked the movie above ROTJDustyDrB said:I can see how it would be someone's favorite. To me, it's decent until the Darth Maul fight on Naboo. That fight is a game-changer, it kicks so much ass. Plus the music during it was great.MrDeckard said:................................XinfiniteX said:Not may favourite Star Wars film though, that spot belongs to The Phantom Menace!

wat.
Aside from that, I thought the underwater section had some cool visuals and the pod race was interesting. And the Qui-Gon and Kenobi pairing worked well.
The big things going against it for me: Jar Jar and midichlorians. Those aren't enough to wreck the movie.
The EU is canonical. Except if it disagrees with a film. So, Fett isn't dead.DustyDrB said:Of course. It has Admiral Ackbar.
I'm gonna go ahead and say it, I love the Ewoks. The only thing that bugs me about the movie is the uneventful death of Boba Fett. It just comes and goes and he's dead and digested. Well, until someone wrote him out of that in one of the Expanded Universe novels. But I tend to think of the movies and books as not really the same stories, so Movie Boba is dead and book Boba lives.
The unfinished Death Star also looks freaking badass. I used to be upset about when they show Darth Vader's face. I thought, "What the hell? He's just a pruny old man with a pitiful voice". Now I see that scene and it shows his vulnerability under the aura of his armor.
I actually love all the Star Wars movies. I'm not one to let little things like Jar Jar ruin everything for me. I love the originals more, but the prequels are still good.
