I play all RPGs. but mostly JRPG's. it's kind of saddened me to see that there are hardly any current gen standard turn based JRPG's...for some reason i love everything about them, but they're a guilty pleasure for me.

Right!?

Yeah, I'm a big RPG fan. The Paper Mario series especially (Super Paper Mario does not exist).

My friend has Super Mario RPG on Wii Ware, and I'll probably get around to playing that soon enough.

Yes I like RPGs. Sometimes they're the resistance's only hope in taking out Russkie tanks when we're invaded.

Best poll options ever.

RPGs are my favorite genre, but it's a love-hate relationship. For every Final Fantasy 6, there's a Final Fantasy 10. For every Chrono Trigger, there's a Chrono Cross.

Not to mention every RPG since like 1999 has felt the need to include at least one character that makes me want to gouge out with a spoon the part of my brain that registers 'annoyance'.

I loves me a good old RPG. Especially Japanese Tactical RPG's like FFT, Disgaea, and Fire Emblem. That's my niche right there.

Yes.

I love KotOR, Morrowind, Deux Ex, and many other RPGS.

The RPG that killed me was FFVII.
How did FF7 kill you, and keep down with your answer...the fanboys are out on the prowl!

Yes but I think I'm getting bored quicker with them for some reason. That or it's because I'm buying fewer games to go through. If there's not much replayability I won't stay long. Even with Fallout 3, it's an awesome game but I don't really feel like rolling another character when I already went through 87% of the content on my first character and know all the major plot twists.

Four out of my five favourite games are RPGs.

What are your 5 favorite games may I ask?

Do you like to play role playing games -RPG's-? Yes.
If so which do you like to play, and which do you not like to play? Mainly RPGs made by BioWare, Bethesda and Obsidian. Don't care about other ones.

RPGs are awesome, people who don't think so are wrong.

Also which type of RPG do you like? -WRPG, JRPG...- WRPGs, I don't like JRPGs.

I don't completely dislike them, but I prefer action-RPG's, as turn-based combat ordinarily bores me... unless it's Pokémon.

On a more pressing note, why is that last face turned the wrong way? It's driving me insane!
Hahahaha I had to make it even for the OCD people like myself.
apparently it was at the expense of the OTHER OCD people, lol.
Plus I used a =D as the first option and I had to use a D as the last one so I used a D= to keep it in some sort of order, at least I didn't do the (= | )= smileys those bother me.

Played a lot of them RPGs during my lifetime and I do enjoy the genre greatly (Neverwinter Nights, Gothic series, Diablo series, The Witcher-which i might finish one of these days, KOTOR-but just the first, the second one of the series managed to piss me off and so on).

The greatest appeal of the genre lies in the fact that if immersion is good, you enjoy wholeheartedly the story, you attach yourself to your character more then in any other game, you get drawn into it extremely well. The only problem I would have with the genre is that there are to few games out there which have the "perfect lenght". Some are either too long (Dragon Age Origins, Baldurs Gate etc) while some are too short although some might argue the contestant i've decided to put up - Fable, which would give you roughly 4-5 hours of gametime. I'd like at least 15-20 fun hours for my money, not something that would last like the time period of an AIDS test >_>

I like some of W and J RPGs, recently I have found that JRPGs are garbage though, most are just about forgettable characters or even worse FFXIII.

Recently I've played Breath of Fire III, Final Fantasy VI, Legend of Dragoon, Phantasy Star IV and Breath of Fire IV. They've been far better than any of the newer JRPGs, the only gems I've found would be Persona 3 and Crimson Gem Saga.

WRPGs I'm more or less new to, enjoying Oblivion, had my fun with Fallout 3, touched a bit of Dragon Age Origins and the genre has been great.
