Poll: Do you like Saints Row 3?

Saints Row 2 is better for no other reason then you can replay the missions and again and again. Which they won't allow in Saints Row 3.

Let me explain something: I love a good sandbox game.

SR2 and SR3 are spot-on what I like about sandbox games too, more than my favorite GTA game, San Andreas. For the record, I haven't done ANY of the plot in San Andreas because I just didn't care. But SR2-3 are funny-awesome games that are over-the-top evil madness to cut loose in.

I think they're both good and that SR3 is a proper successor to the series.

I haven't played SR2 but I enjoyed the hell out of SR3. One of my largest complaints though was that it was just a bit too wacky. I liked some of the satirical elements but sometimes it was just being plain dumb. Still, at least it's not trying to be melancholy like GTA.

I thought it was a lot better than SR2, but I didn't enjoy SR2 in the slightest, so that's not saying much.

The challenges were much easier in saints row 3 which made it an absolute piece of piss to finish.

I haven't played SR2, and though I found SR3 fun for a time, the wackiness was its only real draw. The gunplay was of average quality, and the customization wasn't enough for me because most of the options weren't interesting to me. Oh, and the story wasn't very good. At least it was funny.

I never actually played Saints Row 2, but I did however play Saints Row 1. Comparing those two, I enjoyed Saints Row 3 a lot more. The missions were more varied and the characters were a lot more memorable. Then again Saints Row 1 was nothing more than a slightly wackier GTA clone, so make of that what you will.

Saints Row 1 fucking sucked. Ok it was good but there is a reason I never finished it. The Checkpoint system was horrible, in that there were no check points. The only good part was Johnny and he was in Saint Row 2.

It's amazing fun with a friend, I can see why it might get a bit boring by yourself but still, I love a lot of the "aesthetic" (if you can call it's ridiculousness an aesthetic xD) and a lot of it made me laugh, which you don't see enough of in a lot of games.

The opening tells you all of this, where your character is falling with a woman in his arms, decides to go through the front window of a plane, punches/shoots everybody as he flies through the plane at about 50 mph and grabs a parachute on the way out, catching the woman again afterwards. You instantly know exactly what direction this game is going in, and at least it acknowledges how ridiculous it's action and comedy is. I really do love it.

HEre is you're guys option for not playing Saints Row 2. GO FUCKING PLAY SAINTS ROW 2!!! It is a great game and completely worth time and money. Though if you are only looking for wacky fun and don't care about a good story then yo are better off with SR3. Sorry if tat seemed a little harsh, but it is a really good game.

In SR2 I made myself.

It wasn't me as a gangster, it wasn't me as a hero, it wasn't glamorous at all.

Everyone who watched me play that game knew it was me. In the game.

And when I turned on the evil peds code and angry cars code, and got completely flattened all over Stillwater, most of my friends nearly peed themselves laughing. It was magical, and sadly, SR3 doesn't quite feel the same.

My biggest disappointment was the absence of multiplay, though, then the customization of the character as a close second.

Except for the blatant ass-rape of the story I loved, it was a very fun game. :3 My only problem-besides the awful stuff it did to my precious story ;_;-was the fact you were railroaded into going after the gangs in a certain way, and they didn't feel as creative as past gangs.

They should have put a lot of the minigames back in, they were half the content of the game in the second one. Seriously crap controls on number 2 though. Someone go and import the second one into the new engine somehow dag nabbit!

I'm with the people who prefer Saints Row: The Third, on account of it actually being playable on PC.
However, I will admit that SR2 had a better setting. More memorable in most cases, like the underground mall. That place was fun.

Agreed. That doesn't mean I like it or think it has any redeming value at all though. Works on PC does not equal good game. Thank goodness for Steam sales, I would be annoyed if I had paid full price for something so unapealing.

Almost everything is better than SR2, except for the game. Missions and main story are shorter, less Mayhem, Insurance fraud, etc missions, less weapons, less clothing options. That said, all the stuff SR3 has is better than SR2; Guns with incendiary bullets, fighter jets with lasers.

I can't mention Saint's Row and "character development" or "seriously good story" in the same sentence without chuckling a little(haha). What these games have always been about to me is fun gameplay. Also, the hover bike is best thing in video games I've seen in at least eight years, so it's get my vote.

Too short to beat on a single run. Trying to do it to Saints Row 3 is like just munching the whole package of Doritos. You didn't even get to enjoy munching on unhealthy snacks.

However, I must say that making my character look like Sylvester Stallone and just round around in a suit committing despicable crimes, beating down zombies and kidnapping prostitutes was one of the best gaming related experiences I had.

Went with saints row 3 because of playing on pc although according to some friends saints row 2 is better with stuff to do and storyline.
First mission in saints row 2 really showed the problems quickly crappy framerate in a small room with gtx 560ti, next i tried to drive a copcar out of the prisongates, was a real challenge with the weird handeling, turnes out the copcar was one of the better handeling cars. for me it was mostly that it felt that all the cars where handling in fast forward, too dahm fast
saints row 3 also has this to a point but it's alot better. and as a port it's awesome. controls and everything works great.

Edit: and i really like the wresling combat moves. use it as my prefered weapon (ok maybe in combination with swords or oversized novelty slongs)it flows really well

SR3 was boring and challenge free. Plus the humor was way too forced, the dick-joke equivalent of slapstick. The only thing that would have made it feel more forced would have been a 1970's tv sitcom laugh track. imho ymmv yadda yadda.

edit: having your character speakin zombie was pretty funny tho.
