I haven't really watched it since the first few, which were plagued by a lot of inconsistency with the tone, jumping in and out of satire. Assuming he's gotten better at that (it seems like something that someone could easily improve on over time), I'd be interested in watching more of it.

So Escapists, should I watch more of it or is just not for me?

Nope. The world's got enough internet douchebags, and one more, "satirical" or not, isn't impressing me.

The show has improved alot since that first shitty episode.
I like his thoughts better in written form though.

I never did mind the presentation, but I would like to see more detailed fact-finding.

"Metacritic is not the problem!" Absolutely!

"Nintendo is being Stupid!" Preach on Brother!

"Be as Childish as you have to be!" ... wait, what?

Sorry, but I have to stop the bus before we roll into the "Hey lets all be giant twats!" neighborhood. Its true that the Outrageous Personal Attacks Network doesn't play by the rules, but you're not going to get any street cred with me by claiming that gamers need to use the same low brow tactics.

He gets a conditional 'Like' vote from me.

I found his schtick painfully unfunny. I'm going to assume that his douchbag persona in his videos was deliberate, but that still wasn't funny. The Cinema Snob and Yahtzee can pull it of and be funny, Jim couldn't as far as I'm concerned. And I didn't find his talking points all that interesting either, so I'm skipping it.

He brings up some good points worth talking about, and I will admit, he has grown on me a bit. I follow his show every week. But do I like him? No. I really dont find him that funny, and his whole"satire persona" Is just, annoying. Not my type of humor I guess. Though, from his first episode to now, he has gotten, much better overall. Ill give him that.

He has gotten better so I would say that you should give it another try.

In the beginning of the series when he was just making a single joke for 5 minutes to stretch one entire point that could be said in 10 seconds (see his sexism episode) no he wasn't very good and I didn't really like him. Now that he's kind of settled down and isn't relying on his "persona" as he puts it to just act like a giant douche without a point or a very small point he's a lot better. He has some interesting ideas and he gives a different perspective on things than some of the other people on the escapist because he's willing to not take the high road if the low road is more fun or is more likely to achieve results. There's nothing wrong with either opinion but Jim is one of the few who takes the low road, maintains credibility enough to talk about his opinions online and have some people care.

Watched a few and a lot of what he says is right but he's kind of annoying. Haven't watched enough to let him grow on me.

Meh. I don't dislike it, and I watch it so I put like.
His arrogance was really grating when the show first started as he was nobody so it was just annoying and obnoxious.
But throughout the series he's peppered so self depreciative humour which helps me feel mor comfortable. Plus he's gone from jamming thoughts down your throat, to actually having some interesting musings and insights.
Do I always agree with him? No. But even MovieBob gets it wrong once in a while.

Loos like I'm the same as the majority of people here. The first few episodes were pretty awful, but I decided to stay with it and I'm really glad that I did. He offers a different and original viewpoint in his videos, and generally has some good insight. His latest episode on the irony of pc gaming was particularly brilliant.

No hit or miss option? Sometimes he's right about something sometimes he's a childish, slobbering, narcissistic, fat, loser.

biggest load of sh%$ ever, he isn't even funny like some other critic people, he just mocks a game he knows F%$£ all about, he assumes he knows it like the back of his hand.

I get the feeling he's trying to be like Yahtzee, but adress important stuff like Extra Credits. And while ZP does insult his audience, he doesn't do it directly and when he does, its pretty funny. But Jim does it with every other word in the few episodes I bothered to watch before I just got sick of his droaning.

So in short, no, no I don't like Jimquisition, its dull and the art looks like it was drawn by an angry 2 year old on a sugar high.
