Hey there, movers and shakers. Do you like to put the controller down for a bit and go out and bust a move? If so, what are you good at? Break dancing? Cultural dances? Bump and grind?

Personally, I love to dance because I can do some things well. I know how to Samba, Flamenco, and Mambo, but I rather improvise with crazy ass grooving and shaking at parties. I tend to fool people that I'm some sort of next generation Dirty Dancing champ, but really, it's the dancing spirit that guides me.

Also, I enjoy dancing like a total idiot in public places to this song:

I can dance and i pull a few moves when the music hits right. Then there's the times when i dance at random to the music i create in my head.

I can't dance. At all. Does that ever stop me trying? No. Flailing about in an arrhythmic fashion in clubs is fun!

its the reason why i no longer drink to get drunk, i had a bad habit of starting to dance when that happened, and while many times i fell asleep on parking lots and in alleys, puked on people and places and said things i might not should have said, the only thing i was embarrassed about the morning after was the fact that i danced, except when i lived out in the country where i constantly had to pretend to be straight and i once kissed a girl, i felt terrible about lying to myself and doing something like that, but for all the years after that and for all the trips to the bars, the dancing was the worst part.

I really cant dance.

Aww, come on now. There are plenty of dances for even the most green-horned individual. My friend showed me this fail-proof dance [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7L0JkKVk_k] that can be used for almost anything. It's especially fun to do when celebrating when your favorite sport team scores or anything like that

I can waltz a mean waltz, and i do fencing, so if i dance with one of my friends who fences, we do a sorta battle dance whihc looks good. But i cant do any of the new dances, so i cant dance to modern music.

Though i can kinda dance the salsa.

I don't really know any advanced moves or stuff like that, and i definitely won't dance when no one else is doing it. I can move to a nice beat in stuff like clubs where there are others dancing though. And it's actually pretty fun aswell. But nowhere near as fun as watching my friends trying to dance while drunk. :D

Edit: It has to be something with a pretty audible beat though. I see old people dancing to jazz and i'm like wtf? I can't hear the rhytm so how can they? It's modern music for me, Pop, House, Techno, Hip Hop or something like that.

I can pull off some of these on occasion:

I'm in the low brass section at my university's marching band, and we always start our own dance parties.

EDIT: I actually did some of these moves in our field show.

Never interested in it, never tried. Except when I was very small maybe, but such memories don't exist anymore.

I do dance a fair bit just for fun, but the last time i did it in public a crowd of observers laughed for ten minutes straight.

That is fucking amazing. I can see how that could turn into a righteous dance party. So much win!

Lately I've been trying to master these moves by the talented Eric Nally of Foxy Shazam. I know what you're thinking, and yes, Freddy Mercury has been reincarnated.

I'm not a big dancer. Partially because I'm not very good - but my dancing certainly has a decent amount of comedic value.

My big problem is the MUSIC that everyone I know listen and dance to. It's all rave and house and shit, and this kind of music tends to make me physically ill. I like dancing to REAL music, you know, something with actual instruments, something funky. But alas, such music is not "in" at the moment.
