I love wearing suits.

But, being a teenaged student, there's really no reason to wear one appropriately...

When I "suit up", I'm in a labcoat with nitrile gloves/N95 respirator/chemical goggles. Its AWSOME. Though the goggles fog up fast.

The only major problem I have with suiting up is that I hate driving with those suit shoes.
Except for that, it's pretty great. Everyone can look awesome in a suit.

I had a job interview today and it's been the first time in a long while since I've had to wear a suit. There's something about wearing a suit that makes me feel 'happy', everyone seems to react to me differently, people smile at me more and I can look like the biggest tool in the world while drinking a coffee at Starbucks. I especially looked like the modern gentleman because of the glorious British weather, i.e. pissing it down with rain. So with my umbrella, and my suit, I strolled around Nottingham thinking that I only needed a monicle and a top hat and I could do this everyday.

So, you do you enjoying wearing a suit? Do you hate it? Or are you indifferent?
So fellow escapists, go upstairs, open your wardrobe/closet and...

where's the "I can't afford a suit" option?
Everyone can afford a suit, it doesn't have to be an expensive one.
It should be. Every man should own a tailored suit. I'm not looking down on people who don't. Obviously cash can be tight. But it's a great feeling to have a set of clothes you know are (relatively) unique and perfect for you. Providing of course you have a good tailor.
I recently bought a suit for $30, and I swear I've never worn something that fitted me better right out of the box. I love op shops.

WOW YES!
it actually makes me feel.....invincible,

Seriously, its like that one scene in the sponge bob movie, when the get the fake stashes and fall into that abyss. I am the fusion of Patrick and sponge bob wearing stashes when i myself wear a suit.

It is uncomfortable (especially the damn shoes) BUT. If you doing something awesome, it will look better in a suit.

So: Normaly i hate it. I am wearing loose snuggly clothes at home (not even a jeans or something. But when i am presenting something, or going gambling or something: Suit, black leather shoes (just no tie).

I'm a bit odd on this because I hate all my suits, but I think my fabulous 80s blazer jacket is the dog's bollocks, love pencil skirts for formal occasions and have no problems with tailored trousers. The combination, however, seems to look frumpy and feel binding.

There's something about women's suits that just isn't as classy as men's suits.

I hate suits... They're so uncomfortable. I prefer my worn-in jeans, a t-shirt, and a zip-up hoodie.

I would rather be 100% comfortable than look good.
I'm torn between this and the awesomeness of a good suit. While you look fantastic, and feel fantastic (confident-wise)...its simply more comfortable to wear "trashy" clothes.

I dont suit up much, so its just that much sweeter when I do I guess.

I enjoy my suit.

Charcoal black with a purple shirt and a bright red tie.
The sunglasses are essential.

A properly tailored suit will fit correctly, comfortably, and look smokin' hot. There is a down side, naturally; a properly tailored suit will not be cheap, in all likelihood, but if you're not prone to sudden changes in weight or frame, you're unlikely to need a new one for quite a while.

I've often found that being the owner of a half domesticated beard doesn't really work well with a suit, but I do like to wear them. As I'm going bald I keep thinking about shaving my head completely and ditching the beard, so I'd look like agent 47 after he's gained a hundred pounds.
Screw shaving your beard!

I've been shaving my head for 10 years, and I'm still rocking the same 'stache and goat combo', whether I'm wearing a suit or my Carhartts' and garrison boots. It's possible to have facial hair and still be a 'sharp-dressed man'.

Why thank you. Totally jealous you get to live in Edinburgh, btw. Fringe Festival at your doorstep (though I'll bet, as a local, you get fed up with it or something)

Also, if you think it's snazzy on ME you should see my friend

He has curly, long black hair (at the time of the photo). We got him to wear it, tilt his head downwards a fraction and, lo and behold, he was Slash
Sorry about the late reply, popped off to play a few rounds of TF2 (and finally got that damn Saxton Hale mask).

I have never been to a Fringe event or even Edinburgh Castle, but I've no idea why. I guess it's one of those things you mean to do, but keep putting off because it will be there later. I like some of the street performers that hang around during the Fringe, but mostly I just get a little annoyed with all the extra people.

Despite liking your hat and frequenting Steampunk forums, I don't actually like wearing hats or that style of dress on myself. It's interesting and I've spent a lot of time reading into it but my interest really dies when it comes to getting a suit of my own. I'd buy a pocketwatch though, clockwork is godly.

Also, please tell me that you had some sunglasses at the time that you took the picture of your friend with the hat? That would add to the already awesome image in my head.
He had normal glasses and it was dark, if that helps

I'm a real big steampunk fan myself, but I don't cosplay or anything weird like that.

I do indeed like to suit up. Once I can afford to have more than one suit - and purchase a nice fedora - I plan to suit up pretty much everyday.
