I had a job interview today and it's been the first time in a long while since I've had to wear a suit. There's something about wearing a suit that makes me feel 'happy', everyone seems to react to me differently, people smile at me more and I can look like the biggest tool in the world while drinking a coffee at Starbucks. I especially looked like the modern gentleman because of the glorious British weather, i.e. pissing it down with rain.
I actually had exactly the same experience earlier today. My suit also includes a pocket watch though.

I have to wear one to school every day, so I quite like them :D. In a way they're easier than casual because there's a definite 'right way' to wear them, so no-one can complain about your (lack of) dress sense.

It wasn't enjoyable until I was able to afford a real tailored suit, now I feel like Pierce Brosnan, ready to save the world and then go home to fuck my usual collection of Italian whores.

I hate suits. They feel far to restrictive to me, and I don't like wearing layers so it just adds to the discomfort. I am decidedly blue collar so I wear jeans, a t-shirt, work boots, and a baseball hat everyday.

Suits make you look great. I just don't have enough of them anymore. Most of my professional wardrobe consists of business casual garments. I grew too large for my two and three piece suits, and haven't had the money to buy any replacements. Such is life.

I did love wearing a kilt at my Prom, however. Felt a real man (and the breeze :p )
Just out of curiosity, why do English guys wear kilts? I wear them on appropriate occasions (weddings and prom mostly) but I do so because it's the norm up here. Just curious.
I don't know why English guys wear it. My Dad's Scottish and my Mum's of Irish descent

You'd be better off asking the English guys :p
Fair enough, I usually assume that the location on their profile is also where someone is from. Snazzy hat in your profile picture, btw.
Why thank you. Totally jealous you get to live in Edinburgh, btw. Fringe Festival at your doorstep (though I'll bet, as a local, you get fed up with it or something)

Also, if you think it's snazzy on ME you should see my friend

He has curly, long black hair (at the time of the photo). We got him to wear it, tilt his head downwards a fraction and, lo and behold, he was Slash

It's a lot of work and very uncomfortable, so no. If I ever have to wear a suit. I'll just wear jeens under it so no one knows how comfortable I am.

If I ever strike gold(lots of money) one of the first things I'm going to buy is an old-fashioned three-piece-suit with matching shoes and fedora(hat)

Edit: Have to make due with some fancy pants, my dad's old shoes, a sports coat and a bunch of shirts. no hat though.

I would....but i do not own one.
But if the zombie Apocalypse comes i will be wearing on, because have you noticed that any character who kills zombies while wearing a suit looks even cooler?

I admit that suits are awesome, but for some reason they just don't feel like "me". I'll wear them if I need to, but overall, I don't like to wear them... It makes me wonder what I'm going to go into work as after I graduate University....

We wear a suit for our 6th form years. I think a lot of my year don't like it, or don't want to show that they like it, so they've gone for the preppy chinos and blazer look.

I've gone 3-piece pin-stripe, every working day from 7-6, bitches.

I wear a suit almost every day. Well, either a suit or simply some nice trousers/pants, a shirt+tie and a waistcoat/vest.
My avatar is me in a suit + coat and hat.

I get my suits and stuff used at the salvation army / red cross stores, so I've pretty much replaced most of my clothes with suits, waistcoats and ties.

I love it.

Okay so tomorrow is International Suit up day. I assume you'll all be taking part because I mean, why wouldn't you want to wear a suit? So are you taking part? And if so what kinda thing you crazy kids suiting up in?
It's going to Legen...wait for it...Dary!!
More like tool up.
Because you're getting excited about wearing a suit.
And everyone who wears a suit without having to is a gigantic tool.
And this is a holiday created by a fictional serial rapist (rape by fraud).
Hippies are funny.
Shallow materialistic people are not.
So you've never bought something for the sheer fun of using it? I feel sorry for you.
You are truly a master of twisting words and making shit up.
Good thing suits don't have wangs or you'd be choking to death right now.
Enjoying a well made suit, something that someone has put hours and hours into making is no different than enjoying a well made violin or work of art. It's an aesthetic thing. probably the same reason why I love the inner workings of a watch. 100s of years of tradition and quality.

"Suiting up" makes you feel awesome and look awesome. Seriously, girls love it and every guy will wish he too was wearing a suit.

Stylish as hell.

Edit: If wearing a suit is uncomfortable then your suit doesn't fit. Not saying get a tailored one cause they are expensive, just make sure everything fits and is worn in the right place. Slacks at the waist guys, no lower.
Exactly! If the suit is uncomfortable then it doesn't fit. I know they're expensive, but it's worth the comfort if you're going to be stuck in it for a couple of hours. Plus if it feels good then you know you look good it's a win win.
