Even though most of my advice is really good I rarely follow it, I keep telling myself I should because it would greatly improve my life but I never seem to end up following it.

I do about 80 percent of the time. The rest of it is usually horrible advice i sarcastically give to stupid people so i can see what they do.

I avoid giving advice in the format of "You should do action X because of reasoning Y." I prefer to tell people to reconsider the circumstances, and review their options. Sometimes I'll tell someone what I would do and why, but I always state that their decisions are ultimately their own and that I can't possibly know everything from their viewpoint. I try my best to follow the first parts of that. I like to think I give good advice.

Well I believe that alot of people that give advice don't follow it them selves so do you follow your own advice?

(For instance if people like to ask you for advice and such)
Pony indeed.

Depends on what the advice is about, obviously some stuff you say which, while obvious and more intended for support, are really not that easy to do when in the same position. I do however tend to stick to my own principles and I'd like to think I try and take empathy in account with my advice, but with friends you generally say whatever you think they would like to hear or be pushed towards.

Because any and all advice I give is either horrible or a joke, I don't listen to what I have to say. Other people do, though, but if I care enough to stop them, I just say that it was only a sug-jest-ion!

My advice typically comes from mistakes that I've made in the past. So, "PONY!"

I generally try to. Most of my advice comes from life experiences, so it's kinda hard to give someone advice about something that you've experienced, and not actually use that advice yourself.

I think I made that way too confusing. Whatever.

I'm usually too stupid to take my own advice. Knowing the correct answer, articulating the right path, and following through on that are very different things.

No, because I doubt people listen to my advice anyway, and because I let my head get in the way of my advice. No really. I think so much about the implications, undertones, and hidden goals of a social exchange, that I often completely miss the point and context of what's going in any given situation.

In other words, I over complicate things so much that my own advice is useless.

No. I can give good advice to people, but I just can't follow it myself. One may call me a hypocrite. But only one. If more than one person does, they will die.

yes if I can I will. Even if it's hard. Just to show that my advice is worth listening to.
