I still live with the folks and my sister. I'll probably move out when I can afford to and have a job and stuff, but that's so my parents aren't wasting their money on me more than actually wanting my own place. I already feel guilty when I think of how much they must have spent on me over the years.

I'll probably live alone when I do move out, if what my friends at university are putting up with is any indication to what living with flatmates is like.
I dunno, maybe being left alone just isn't something you're allowed at uni.

I live alone in a two bedroom townhouse. Main bedroom is for sleeping and second bedroom has my PC/bookshelves and all my game and anime memorabilia. I live alone because it gives me the personal space I need, I come from a very large family so after 18 years living in a place that noisy this is like heaven for me.

How can everyone afford to live alone? I was convinced that everyone here fitted the gamer stereotype of a 20-something unemployed male...
Isn't it obvious? This website is full of fake geeks! Trying to take our hobby from us, while also being successful in life and can afford to live alone. Evil, I tell ya!

At any rate, I feel for you. It sucks living with people you can't get along with. First year in uni I had to live with 20 other people and most of them were complete idiots. We didn't really have any sort of open animosity but I still didn't like it. And then two years ago, I lived with three people I just didn't have much in common with. We shared the same floor but mostly ever came in contact when climbing the stairs or passing through the hallway. While it wasn't bad, per se, it's certainly not the same as living with people you know and get along with.

I share bathroom and kitchen. Never really lived alone, but I am looking forward to the day when I can afford it. Now in 2 and a half years I hope I can get to.

I'ms till with my folks due to the job situation and being told by both parties it would be better to stay with my folks until I can grab work and move out.

I do have a roomie though living with us since he got kicked from his folks place after his mother got back with his asshole stepdad.

Though I will say it's been 3 years since he's lived with us and it does get rather annoying considering he burps a lot out loud, passes gas a lot of the time and just has bad hygiene in general (seriously he showers like maybe 2-3 times a week and still smells afterwards) and has a really bad habit of sucking on his thumb while he's awak and when he's asleep which has caused me to develop a nasty reaction of clenching my fists whenever he sucks on his thumb (I've told him to sort it out but he uses lame excuses to neutralise the situation so he can carry on doing it).

He also has a nasty habit of neutralising anything bad he does like eating junk food a lot of the time or eating too much food out of our fridge along with his frequent farting which can piss me off a lot of the time since most people I've hung with don't really do what he does and act polite but he uses excuses like "it feels like home here" and also mixes way too many foods together (noodles in tortilla wraps anyone, pancakes wrapped in chunks of butter and nutella?).

I have been giving it some thought though with my folks and we're thinking after we come back from our holiday to Florida(8th May) of telling him to move out because I lack all if any privacy and that does get to me when I'm dealing with people on a daily basis and have little to no time for myself (I can't even play a game without him glancing over and telling me how to do stuff in it)

Currently living in Uni halls and it's pretty good. I like the people I'm living with and I'll be living in a student flat with them next year.

We don't always agree of course. I like things to be really neat and tidy, and they can sometimes be sort of slobs. On the other hand, I can be really anal about doing the dishes and cleaning up after yourself, whilst they have a more relaxed and normal outlook towards hygiene.

I wouldn't trade them for other people though. I put up with their shit, and they certainly put up with mine.

Living with family right now. Nothing to complain about but it would be nice to live somewhere away from home. Then again I know I'd get super bored and lonely being by myself so it might be for the better to still be living around my family, at least for now. =)
