It was sooo nice to be able to play the DS on a train and know the stares I was getting were because I was foreign...
Wait, what? OK this is a bit off topic but where did that happen?
In Japan. People are cool with someone playing video games in public. It was just that I was the only foreigner on the train at one point...

I never use the portability, I bought my DS and PSP for the games available for them. Tend to read a book on the train. You know, one of those old paper things...

I play and carry around my PSP whenever I can. I play it (or make us of it's other functions) on the bus on the way to school, play it at school during breaks, traveling long distance, ect. Hell it's even a good thing to have when your sitting through those god forsaken never ending previews at the movies. Stays at home if it's too inconvenient to bring...you don't do outdoor activities with that thing in your pocket or else your fucked.

I play my Gameboy Colour whenever I go on long car journeys, though I can only find Zelda: Link's Awakening, and Zelda: Oracle of Seasons. I should really get some more games, maybe some Pokemon or something...

I just download the emulators for my laptops. So i guess my laptop is my GBC/GBA/DS.

If taking up economics lectures counts as taking advantage of portability, than i would say I take advantage of a fair amount of portability.

I rarely play them outside(because of the time and the sun mostly), there should really be some screen upgrade in next generation :/

Mostly bring my DS on faimily vactions, a pair of headphones blocks out my annoying couisins wonderfully and it makes FF4's music player orgasmic. Though I dont keep it in my pocket because I still play the original model and it's reliable but bulky.

I don't own a functioning one, so not any more.

I used to use my DS in car rides, and I'd buy a game specifically when we go on trips

Not any more.. The current systems (DS and PSP) take far too long to get into a game and most of the good titles out dont offer a really quick saving mechanism which is what is wanted. I dont exactly have 30 mins to whip it out and get to a new checkpoint when im stuck somewhere. Games on my iPhone are better in that regard except they really chew through the battery and they are pretty boring after a while.

I would play some games on my old gameboy if I wasnt shunned by society for doing so.. :(

I take being shuned by society as a badge of pride. It says, "yeah I'm diferent than you, so what".
