Yup, Cheat codes do add a lot of replayability to a game, like making you invincible or having all the AI acting like idiots and fun stuff like that...

I only really miss them for games like GTA which seemed to be built to have fun in any way possible.

I miss em, I didn't always use them, but if I bought a game and decided I was sick of it, I'd use them, mess around, then pick out something else to play.

I stopped using them shortly after PC started making you use a command line prompt to activate them. I found I never wanted to use them enough to jump through that tiny hoop. Haven't missed them at all on consoles.

I miss them because they always an extra amount of humor. I still wish the Konami Code would work in some games.

Not really. Don't appreciate having to memorize huge long codes to get content from a game. (ex:The force unleashed and TFU2)
That said, I used them on Robotech for the PS2.
I liked how Red Faction Guerilla used them. Once you got a certain statistic (say, shooting down 50 planes) you got a cheat code (ex: infinite ammo). That way, you still got the fun cheats, but you had to earn them, not just look them up online.

Not really, codes ruined Oblivion and Fallout 3 for me. I know someone can easily say "well just don't use them" it's so hard not to D:

It was always fun to goof around with them, but if you used them to progress the game then they just took away lot of the fun.
