Poll: Do you own a 3D TV?

No, in the UK there is a lack of quality content, you still have to wear stupid glasses which darken the picture quality and everyone only bought a HDTV a few years ago. They don't want to shell out so soon!

Edit: I do have a 3DS and approve of gaming in 3D very much!

No and unless it becomes as "mandatory" as HDTV I never will.

Side note: I say mandatory because it is getting to the point where one cannot enjoy tv or games without it. I know it is possible but it is becoming increasingly difficult.

I don't, I still use a TV we bought in 2002. Nobody ever requests we get a new TV, so it's still the same old but reliable TVs.

I don't have one, nor am I planning to buy one in the near future. However, my surround sound receiver is 3D compatible, and I would love to own a 3D TV. I imagine I'll have one in 5-10 years, after the price has dropped to a reasonable level.

No. And I have no intention on ever buying one. 3D is a neat gimmick, but it's going to fade away in no more than a decades time.

I did not make this thread to prove anyone or myself correct, I made it to find out how many people on the Escapist have and use 3D TVs & games.

No I don't have a 3D TV and I don't ever plan to buy one.

3D is merely a distraction and a tool to screw up your eyes.I already have glasses so no thank you.

It's one of the reasons I have stopped going to the movies with their supposed "3D" BS.

I actually do own a 3D TV, ironically, but I've yet to even use it for 3-D. We keep it around because the picture is absolutely GORGEOUS and because it allows us to get rid of that old TV from the 70s. I may not like 3D, but even I can see a good upgrade.

Nope, it's too expensive just for a feature i'd probably only use about 1% of the time the tv is turned on anyway.

I don't even have a flatscreen tv, much less a 3D one. Probably wouldn't buy one even if I could afford one either; I've heard the picture quality is worse for one thing.
