The other day I noticed how I keep finding change scattered throughout my house and sometimes outside. But I was wondering if its weird to pick up money or if it makes you look cheap. So my question is am I the only one? Personally, I won't pick up a penny but if there's a nickel next to it I'll grab them both. So do you pick up change too?

*Side question: What's the biggest amount of money you ever found. I once found ten dollars laying on the ground. In the form of two 5's.

10p upwards I'll probably dive for, if nobody's looking. I'm not one to pass up good fortune.

I grab just about anything I see lying around and it goes into my big jar. Last year I picked up just over £30 in 1ps, 2ps, and 5ps. That's enough for a new game. So yes of course I do. Does it make me look cheap? Maybe but who cares, I get a free game out of it!

Also the most I ever found was £50 in the library. Tried to hand it in but no-one claimed it so they let me keep it.

Yup and stop and pick up pennies on the floor. Pound coins if I'm lucky sometimes.

Best I found once was a £20 note in a nightclub. Certainly paid for my night that did :D

I don't think it makes you look cheap, no more so then picking up litter and putting it in a bin :p

I used to, but I only pick up bills anymore. Nowadays I'll occasionally toss change on the ground to let little kids pick up and make their day better.

Most I've found depends on what you mean, I found a $20, and also a bank envelope that was very fat, but didn't count the cash because it had a name on it. Just returned it to them, got a nice reward.

Depends on the location. I'd probably pick up 50p, most likely pick up £1 and definately pick up any notes. I remember once thinking this ball of rubbish looked a bit like money.. so when I was getting off the bus I grabbed it and left, then I looked at it and it was £10!

If I find money on the ground, then guess what, It's my money now

If I find a wallet on the ground, I'm going to find out who it belongs to.

I pick up money if it's enough to be worthwile ($1), but if it's enough to have the actual owner actually looking for it, I'll put it somewhere they can find it.
The last scenario has only happened to me once though. I found $20 on the floor in a bakery. I handed it to the cashier in case someone would come looking for it.

A $20 bill lying in the grass. Seriously, just lying in a clump of tall grass in a wooded park. Still viable, too. Thank goodness for New Zealand's laminated plastic paper notes ^^
