It's way too early to say for sure, But so far the only next gen games that appeal to me are getting a PC release.
So so far it doesn't look like I'll be getting a new Console, and more likely a new graphics card.

Based on the incomplete data currently available, I would purchase a PS4. I have no brand loyalty even though I owned a 360 and a Wii last generation and a Gamecube and PS2 before that. I tend to hop on whichever products I think are best. That said, I never buy consoles until their mk. 2 release so that there is some kind of library of games and the kinks are all worked out. The RRoD escapades were particularly brutal for Microsoft and it only reinforced the notion that early adoption can be foolhardy.

I'm only looking at the WiiU so far and I'm waiting for them to prove to me they can still pump out great games, because after those recent disasters I've lost faith in them. I have a little hope now that I've seen they've ditched the 'motion control only' gimmick, and everything seems to be more fluent on their latest hardware.

Yeah. It'll be a PS4.

I'm primarily a PC gamer, but thanks to titles like Dragon's Crown and Dead or Alive, plus incredible vaporware like The Last Guardian (which I still believe is on the way, but not for the PS3 despite whatever Sony has told us), I couldn't possibly go completely without a console.

I won't be getting an Xbox One. No good exclusives. Shitty business practices. I'll hang on to my 360.

I won't be getting a Wii U, if that even counts as next gen. I'm not interested in toys. Recent Zelda games have been garbage. Never did like Mario.

I'll likely be an early adopter of the PS4 for the exclusives. The Xbone on the other hand, no freaking way.
My thoughts exactly. Xbone, Y u so terrible? This generation I got by fine without a PS3 but the next gen... I'm sure I'll be fine without the Xbone. Even then it may be a year or three before i pick up the PS4.

I was not impressed with what Microsoft had to say/show the other day. The nebulous answer about used games & the device's need to check in once a day (what benefit does that have for anyone? ). I am also not an early adopter which worked in my favor for the current gen consoles. I had no bouts with the rrod and snagged the 80gb backward compatible ps3. I'm still waiting to hear what Sony is going to do about the issues that turned me off from the Microsoft consoles. Provided I'll be able to pick up a backup ps3 in the next couple of years, I will be fine without this new generation.

Well there's already a Wii U in the house, and the family will probably pick up at least one of the two around about Christmas - assuming of course they both release around about then.

As it stands, no I am not planning on getting one.

Neither the PS4 or the XBone have managed to pique my interest so far, but I am on the fence seeing as we haven't seen the game line up, the price nor all of the little details confirmed.

Once it gets closer to the time of release I will have a better idea of if I want one, but right now I don't really have much to make me care.

If Sony doesn't do something stupid with their apparent lead on Microsoft and the exclusives are good, then I'll get the PS4. If not, then I won't waste my money and just stick with the PC.

Well, you're not going to get the best measure for this thing from the Escapist where the majority have freely admitted to being PC gamers. I own a Wii U and plan on buying a PS4 so long as Sony doesn't screw it up. I'm not planning on getting an Xbox One at this point.

If I could access the ps3 library with a ps4, maybe but I can't.
Microsoft has completely lost their mind with the xbone and there is absolutely no reason to get it over a pc.
The Wii-u might be interesting if it had any games I would want to play.

I'm planning on getting a WiiU because I love Nintendo's first party games. The third party stuff looks like it could something interesting as long as they don't mess it up. Besides, I don't really care about graphics all that much so the WiiU doesn't have that issue for me.

The PS4 will have to show a lot more to make me want to get one. Sony makes great exclusives as well but at the moment they just seem like the lesser of two evils. Remember when they did their announcement conference? People tore them to shreds for the touch pad, the built in Move, the share button and lack of showing the actual console. I want a reason to not go to PC gaming from Sony.

How do I feel about the Xbone? I just used the term Xbone. That pretty much sums it up.

At this point and time, hell no. Right now none of the next generation of consoles appeals to me, especially not the Xbone.

I'm planning on picking up a Wii U. I'm looking forward to all of the games that are coming out for it and I'm not bothered by the touch pad concept. In fact it really appeals to me. I like having the comfort of being able to play on my Wii U while someone else is using the TV since in my home it's often a struggle to get control of the living room TV.

That and the fact that I'm a pretty big Nintendo enthusiast makes it just about certain that I'll pick up a Wii U.

Sony's press conference was also pretty impressive to me. Ideas like the share button and cloud gaming interest me. The game trailers they show also show a lot of promise and Sony has access to some of my favorite franchises as well so I have reason to look forward to the future.

I'll probably bide my time on the PS4 but I'm reasonably sure that I'll pick it up once it has two or 3 games I really have to have. I did the same thing with the PS3 and I was very satisfied with it.

The Xbox one? It took everything that I disliked about the Xbox 360's interface (the clutter up of non gaming advertisements and adverts in general) and decided that it was the new direction for the gaming console. At this point I have no interest in picking one up. They don't have enough exclusive franchises to convince me to pick it up.

I'm not ruling the Xbone out completely but it will take a massive change in attitude from Microsoft if they're even going to make me consider picking one of their consoles up. At the moment I am completely repulsed.

I'll be getting a PS4 for all those Japanese exclusive titles that come with a PlayStation. Gotta produce idols.

I will say this... I have recently given serious thoughts to leaning over to the PC for the first time since I started gaming.
It's really not that bad on this side. It's remarkably cheap and easy to play on PC these days. Just don't get Win8, you'll just be shooting yourself in the foot if you do. Best stick with Win7. Or Linux. Linux is looking nicer every day.
