So do you Escapists play an instrument? Be it guitar, bass, drums, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, flute, piano, strings, or are you an exceptional vocalist?

Have you played an instrument?

I've played Trumpet and French horn and I hated both of them :/ then I played bass which I love :). I also play a little guitar but i've only taught myself to play guitar since I prefer bass anyway :D.

I started playing bass when I moved to Canada (grade 8), I was in music class given the choice to play trumpet or french horn, I said I wanted to play guitar I was denied, so I then asked "How about bass". a week later I got my bass and I've been playing ever since. (grade 10 now)

If you don't play an instrument what instrument would you want to learn to play?

If you do play an instrument what kind of music do you like to play?

Used to play trombone. I sing, play guitar and smoe bass, and noodle with keyboards. As in, I'm not a serious player nor am I particularly good.

I've tried both bass and guitar and a kind of flute i don't know the english name for. I don't do any of them anymore because i simply don't have the patience necessary to get good at any of them. I might try saving up for a drum set though 'cause i just like method of playing and i always go around tapping different rythms on things >_>

I played piano since I was 4, started taking it seriously a little bit into highschool and got my fancy pseudo grade 8 before college. During college I got into keyboard/synthesizer stuff too.

I've been trying to find another instrument to start learning though, just to get a different perspective on how I play things. I hated electronic music before I started playing with a synth, and I hope to get an appreciation for more music if I get another instrument to play. Preferably one I can carry around at will and just take out whenever I feel like it.

100% yes? This is interesting...

I have played piano for a long time and I also learned violin but I am not sure I could still perform anything there. Still got a nice old violin at home but I haven't played it in years.

I apologize if it seems like bragging... but I always had good rhythm and melody-sense as soon as I learnt to whistle. Therefore I picked up guitar really quickly and also drums. transferring skills from guitar into playing bass is really easy so I could play that too. Keyboard (not piano because when I press the keys they never seem to make noise...) is a really easy instrument to play. just press the buttons... and using both hands on guitar means you can do the same on keyboard (on a good day anyways...) but nothing immensely complicated. The only Instruments I think I wont be able to play are what I call oral instruments (like trumpets and flute) because for some reason I suck at blowing (shut it). And I guess I'm ok at singing...

I'm quite a proficient keyboard player. I've always wanted to be able to play the electric guitar too but every attempt has sounded awful.

I play the guitar and I'm horrible at it. I take being bad at the guitar to a whole new level, transcending such categories as "completely ass" and "jesus christ stop manhandling that thing" to the greater plane of "please stop doing that even when nobody can hear you because you're that fucking awful".

I've played saxophone for around two years and tuba for over one year.

In fact, my profile picture linked inside my account will show me with my tuba during marching band this year.

Kiddos, please, play the tuba. The music's easy, you're always needed since there's so few tuba players and your sound is important, most tuba players are a bunch of fun people, and the instrument is fairly easy to learn.

EDIT: Oh, and during marching band, tubas are the instrument to be. Barely any marching due to their size, and the tuba section is the life of the band.

a mediocre player of keyboard/guitar, but i mainly just record/mix/compose music on my computer that i can flex my vocals on...:D I'm working on it!

I'm quite envious of violin, sax, and flute players.... Alot of discipline in just maintaining those instruments i find...hehe...

The spoons, jug, and triangle.

Learning Bass right now though, always liked it better than the guitar.

I played clarinet in the school concert band, then saxophone later on. I've also tried to learn guitar but always couldn't find enough time to get good at it.

I have a melodica propped up against my TV stand. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any good tutorials, and I haven't really found the time to teach myself.

Had 3 years of guitar lessons back in the day, but have always preferred singing. Would love to learn more drum skills though, preferably from a sexy drum teacher, sadly you cannot request that when you inquire.
