I started to play the 'Theremin' - though I stopped, because I didn't have enough time to keep practicing on a regular basis.

I can play jazz on a trombone pretty well. Otherwise I end up using my composing setup for everything else; I play trombone, but I love the cello so much more.

pull my finger and we shall find out together..lol.

no but seriously. I have attempted 2 instruments. Alto Sax and Acoustic Guitar. There is a bit of a story behind both as to why I stopped.

Guitar, drums, bass, singing, ukulele, banjo, violin, piano, harmonica...

A lot of them I only know one or two tunes on, so it's more of a gimmick to do at parties and get a cheap laugh, but I've been playing guitar since I was eleven, harmonica since I was 14/15, bass and drums on and off since 14, basic piano since I was 9 (I just never wanted to learn any more) and ukulele since 18.

'Pseudo'? ... 'pseudo'?! How's that work?

OT: I used to play the piano, violin, viola (by cheating), organ, drums, bass guitar and harpsichord (different playing style to the piano, so I'm counting it!) -_- I was good enough to effectively be browbeaten into applying to the RCM... gawd, that wasn't pleasant...

Don't any more because my time is filled with too much other (usually work-related) crap.

I'm currently in an acoustic guitar based course in school, I take lessons in bass guitar, and I used to play alto sax.
I'm terrible at all of them.

Used to play electric bass in school, but have found no use for it since - not good enough to learn on my won, or inspired enough. I've played it for 1 year over a year ago. I was alright, but that's it.

Just a small joke really, I have rock school grade 8, and when I look at say an ABRSM grade 8 set of pieces, they seem so much harder to play.

Maybe not though, I never really focused on grade-based stuff after that, so I am not too bothered about it. It just seems that a rockschool grade 8 doesn't really seem as credible or something.

Did a few. Started on Piano years back, stopped in the 8th grade for some reason or another.
I can do Baritone, Euphonium, and Trombone nowadays.

I used to play the drums from about the age of 12. Unfortunately, my (very good) drum set still resides in my dad's attic in Canada, while I now reside in the UK. For a while I used to jam in a studio in London where I could rent time with their drum sets, but I've moved away from that area too. Then I went to university, had a kid, and have a job, so now I have no time or money to do anything I want do to really.

But anyway, drums are the most awesome instrument in the world! Especially for people like me who have no singing or note-playing ability (my mum made me try to learn the violin when I was little, I was RUBBISH) but a good sense of rhythm.

I play amplified acoustic (just to sound that wee bit more fancy), teeny-tiny bit of keyboard, a portion of bass, starting to play the mandolin, I intend to start up the ukele and I would just love to learn the drums properly. The two before the latter should be easy enough since I've been playing acoustic guitar since I was eleven anyway, stringed instruments and all that jazz. Violin and harp would be another two fantastic instruments to play, come to think of it!

Haha, aye, ditto. I love sitting doing it with pens. Reminds me of this here video, actually:

I've played saxophone for around two years and tuba for over one year.

In fact, my profile picture linked inside my account will show me with my tuba during marching band this year.

Kiddos, please, play the tuba. The music's easy, you're always needed since there's so few tuba players and your sound is important, most tuba players are a bunch of fun people, and the instrument is fairly easy to learn.

EDIT: Oh, and during marching band, tubas are the instrument to be. Barely any marching due to their size, and the tuba section is the life of the band.
Hurray! A fellow tuba and sousaphone player! :D

OT- I've started at Trumpet, went to Baritone, and now I'm at Tuba. Notice how I progressively get lower? Unless someone offers me to play contrabass tuba, I'm pretty sure I'm sticking with Tuba. ;)

I play piano, this goes perfectly with my love of classical music. It is very soothing. My personal favorite to play is ronda alla turka by mozart
