I've play blues guitar for six years, can play keys with one hand (two confuses me) and can get a tune out of a Stylophone.

I play the timpani. And for those of you who have no clue what a timpani is.

I remember in school people would come up to them and put them out of tune and I would just rage at someone touching MY timpani.

Why doesn't whistling qualify? I can't whistle worth a damn, but I've heard some pretty virtuoso whistlers before and I believe that it requires as much practice as any other instrument, the only difference being that one can practice while doing pretty much anything.

And classic piano, to answer your question. Took lessons from elementary school until I was about 16.

I play guitar and my brother plays violin... Badly, so do YOU play an instrument rather than whistling? no, I thought not.

SO tell me, DO you play an instrument?
Say what?...

Um, yes. Drums, guitar, bass guitar, alto/bari saxophone.

I started playing Bass (thought guitar was closest in the poll) in January. Still learning, but steadily improving :)

I play the Kazoo, the Nose Flute, and the Spoons! Bow down to my musical genius!
Yes!!! I'm glad I'm not the only man here who can play the spoons. The only difference might be the fact I got to play them in Severance Hall.

I can also play any other percussive instrument, piano, a bit of flute, and can read tabs for bass and guitar.
The spoons are quite fun, especially when you try using random parts of your body to make a sound.

I love these:
actually when I played them I had to use individual spoons. It tears up your hands like when you play four mallets on a marimba.
