For some reason a lot of people think finding a girl who's into games is the Holy Grail of Life.

I don't think I'll ever tire of "I CANNOT BE WITH A GIRL UNLESS SHE IS A GAMER TOO" comments in relationship threads.

From guys I have met I always get the impression they would prefer it if I wasn't obsessed with video games.

But meh.

Well hey, as long as you can handle some incredibly passive-aggressive misogyny then the relationship threads are the place for you to meet 'n' greet.

A few years back when i played WOW.

My old guild, the Guildmaster was a women and her boyfriend was also a member. She was a good healer. But always got alot of flak in randoms when discovered she was a lady. Mainly because any other guildies which also joined the random run usually called her by her real name by accident since we were so used to calling her by her real name.

Everyone in the guild admired her for her ability to reflect any flak she got. Most common being "WAAA WAAAA UR A WOMEN YOU CAN'T BE GOOD AT WOW LOL" or "GET BK TO DAMN KITCHEN HURPADERP"

When that did happen if the one making said comments was playing a class with healing spells she would go DPS and make them heal and then we would wipe because 9 times out of 10 she was a better healer then them plain and simple. Totally worth the repair bills to see the ponce doubting her left speechless. They usually behaved for the rest of the instance after that or they left the group from embarrasement....good times.

My WoW guild had several of them there female types in it. Strangely, 90% of them were healers. Sadly, none of them play anymore. Neither do I.

I play tabletop Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy with my gf. She plays Dark Eldar and Dark Elves...against my Chaos and High Elf armies.

It's a blast.

Hopefully the new 6th edition 40k rules are still balanced and fun, I rather enjoy our Warhammer nights.

Yeah. My girlfriend and one of her friends and I play WoW and Diablo together.

And from time to time I'll play games with my other female friends.

Slightly off topic but there's also a couple of girls in my Warhammer 40K group as well, which as a hobby tends to be quite a sausage fest.

I'm a girl and I play videogames, does that count as playing videogames with girls? The only multiplayer gaming I do is occasionally playing ME3's Multiplayer .

though I used to play L4D2 with a friend who is also a girl.

I prefer my games to be single player though.

I had to pick the "I am a girl" option. But my boyfriend and I play LAN coop a lot. (Neither of us is fond of online multiplayer with strangers, having both had bad experiences in the past.)

My wife got Skyward Sword for Christmas, so we hot-seated that for a while.

Failing that, the Wii itself is relatively recent in our household, so we've been playing other stuff together too - Mario Bros Wii, Mario Kart and the bane of boyfriends and husbands everywhere, SINGING GAMES. Oh and dancing games, while we're at it.

As the general issue seems to be in the news a lot at the moment, I would just like to see whom out of us are lucky enough to play video games with the fairer sex.

I unfortunately do not. Sure, I've played Raving Rabbids at a party with girls or a bit of guitar hero, but I don't think I've ever had a female friend who plays video games with me on a regular basis.

OT: Nope, still in high school were girls and guys are both trying to impress each other, where games aren't going to help either gender. I have been friends with female regulars on some server, but it's conversations on a casual tf2 server, that was just somewhere some people came to talk when they were bored.

My girlfriend plays Assassin's Creed fairly regularly. She now has her own save on all of them and laughs at all the brutal killing moves. It can be unnerving.

Yeah. My ex was a gamer and another girl I've been seeing recently(ish) is a gamer too. In fact, I'm having a gathering soon which will probably involve either a Halo or COD tournament and they'll both be along.
I know another girl who I chat to sometimes, but she mostly plays Skyrim so I'm rarely actually playing with her.
