I only play splitscreen. I don't have xbox live, so it's my only option. I love it so much.

Once upon, a time...

Far away back...

When I was young and naive...

When I actually gave a crap about console gaming...

Yes I played split screen...

Now I LAN party.

Absolutely! Unfortunately, it's a dying option in most modern games. But it's so much more fun playing with friends right there in the room with you than online with a headset (especially considering how few friends I have that own PS3's).

Hell yeah, I love splitscreen more than regular multiplayer sometimes. It really brightens up a game, makes it more enjoyable and kills a few hours.

Yes. And I wish more games would have it.

I have been lamenting the loss of local multiplayer for a years now. The only reason I can think that game companies haven't been doing it is it doesn't sell enough games to cover the cost. This makes me sad.

I think I play too many multiplayer games at friends' houses, for me to not like splitscreen. Sure it's nice when you're going solo to have a nice whole screen to yourself, but I love the fun with friends too much to give it up because of my screen being split up...

I like split-screen co-op but most games that have it my brother won't play :(

No, I can't stand having half of a screen. It gets really annoying and painful to look at.

I play split-screen when there are split-screen games to play. So many games are foregoing it for Online Multiplayer. It would be nice if they'd do both.

When I have friends over, yeah, I like to play a split screen game. Unfortunately though, it seems like they're becoming fewer in numbers. Especially racing games. I miss split screen racing games. One of the best parts of a racing game was that it made a good game to play with friends cause you could generally pick up the core concepts really quickly, but now none of them have any god damned split screen. That really annoys me.

I disagree mostly because I still have a fair bit of more recent games that have splitscreen. It seems likes its becomming a standard to have some co-op stuff in games (usually split screen). Like in Splinter Cell which had its very own co-op campaign, it was very well made splitscreen.

PS3 seems to have a bit less options with split screen though. (Just because of 360 exclusives like Gears and Halo.)

It pisses me off when a game doesn't have splitscreen, yet proudly boasts of online co-op.

Yeah, I suppose that's what I really meant. Honestly, I can't think of any PS3-exclusives that have decent split-screen. All I can do is make Borderlands last as long as possible whenever I have a friend over.
