Poll: do you play split screen?

Absolutely! Unfortunately, it's a dying option in most modern games. But it's so much more fun playing with friends right there in the room with you than online with a headset (especially considering how few friends I have that own PS3's).

I disagree mostly because I still have a fair bit of more recent games that have splitscreen. It seems likes its becomming a standard to have some co-op stuff in games (usually split screen). Like in Splinter Cell which had its very own co-op campaign, it was very well made splitscreen.

PS3 seems to have a bit less options with split screen though. (Just because of 360 exclusives like Gears and Halo.)

Yeah, I suppose that's what I really meant. Honestly, I can't think of any PS3-exclusives that have decent split-screen. All I can do is make Borderlands last as long as possible whenever I have a friend over.

im big on co-op split screen its a hell of alot of fun thincking of tactics to use thow its been a while since theres been a decent one

for some reason lord of the rings the return of the king was pretty fun co-op dispite being well awfull

I love Co-Op Split Screen and against someone else. Hell my T.V. is small but I still enjoy a good match of Halo with my friend.

Way, way, way, way back when, in the golden age of Goldeneye, yes I played split screen.

Thanks to the internet (and growing up and not having many gaming "get togethers" anymore), I do all of my multiplayer gaming online.

It pisses me off when a game doesn't have splitscreen, yet proudly boasts of online co-op.

omg same or you play a game and ure like, wow this could SO easily be better with split screen! like pretty much all "tactical" shooters.

I only play split screen. The only reason I got Live was so I could download stuff.

I play splitscreen coop with my brother all the time. But with most modern games I don't really like splitscreen versus unless it's a racing game.

splitscreen is an amazingly good time with friends or family, i wish it was standardized in most shooters or even rpg's these days..

Sorry I was trying to replicate goteki Remix from the game but it didn't work out too well.

If there's a splitscreen option, I use it.

Yes I play split screen and LAN. I hate that games are trying to dump both MP options, anti-social companies :S

I voted the "no friends" option because I currently live over 2000km from my nearest gaming IRL friend. So no, I don't play split-screen that often. But I prefer split-screen 9 times out of 10 over LAN and 99 times out of 100 over online play.

I was actually surprised that it had a split screen mode. A game that needed one was Burnout: Paradise
