When playing games that have an objective, such as TF2's payload game type. Which side do you usually prefer to play on?

Personally I like to play defense. I seem to play a bit better on there. What with spy checking as a pyro, keeping everyone healed as a medic so everyone can defend properly, or building lv. 3 sentries in choke points. Plus there's just something thrilling about keeping a bomb which is just a few feet away from the goal within the last few seconds of the round.

I don't bother with MP games normally. The few times I have, I've been more of a multi-role guy. I prefer to go offense, but I'll hold the fort if I need to be the gatekeeper. In CTF, I am the flag hunter, hunting enemy flag carriers and defending our own (often I am the meatshield).

I like being constantly on the move, and that usually means being on the offense. In games like TF2 I enjoy playing the Scout whenever possible (other assault classes are already represented). In games like BF3 where the combat is much more asymmetrical (I think that's the right word), I like running around providing support and then pulling spotting/sniping duty on assaults.

In the FPS objective fields, as a fairly good sniper, I prefer defense. At least alone.

Though if I'm playing with my pals (usually) I will protect a crate (M-com-- BF3) from being disarmed on attackers.

either or, as long as i'm frying every spy on the enemy team with my pyro it doesn't matter much to me =]

(as you probably can't tell,i fucking loathe spies more than anything from any game.)

Depends. I play BF3 mostly now a days and I prefer defense when I am in a sniper or support class. Yet if its Assault or Engineer class I will love to attack.

Now if its a different game and stealth is more a viable option I will gladly take that route and attack.

Offensive if I've got a superb team of my colleagues, Defensive if my team is a bunch of pussies who are afraid of getting hurt in a videogame. Anyway, I voted for Offense.

BLU is best offense.

I always wondered how a team called the "Builders League United" are the ones pushing the bomb. :/

Defence. Mostly because I don't have to run as far after dying.

I'm usually not a multiplayer gamer unless a buddy drags me on, but I play Unreal Tournament and Battlefield often enough. I'm offense if I don't need to hold everybody's hand because they're too afraid of their virtual avatar getting hurt. I can do defense, usually better than offense, but its boring, and we usually lose since nobody wants to play offense anymore since kill-death ratio is apparently a big deal now.

I like playing defense, personally. I love using a support gun like an LMG and trying to predict where the offense is going to attack from, and setting up a killzone from a decent position. It's great fun in Battlefield 3. Attacking is a little more tricky since everyone seems to have abandoned using microphones while online and it's just a scattered mess out there.

Defense. I have a very aggressive playstyle, and playing offensively on defense maps seems to work well because people don't generally expect it and the offensive team won't usually have defense in depth which allows me to go behind enemy lines and cause a lot of damage.
