Do you acctually read other peoples posts on forums and threads. Or are you just super egger to add your own opinion to the topic, that you dont really care what others think?

Or are you just to lazy?

I read them to make sure what I was going to say hasn't been said yet, and the ones that people were banned for, but thats about it.

If I'm planning to respond, I try to read the entire thread (although if it's too long I'll just read the first few and last couple pages).
If the topic and responses interest me, I'll read the entire thread.
If I click on the thread and it seems like a lot of bull, I won't read it.
And sometimes I'm too lazy and/or tired to bother.

Depends really. Sometimes there's just mighty interesting discussions going on where reading all posts is an enrichment. The other times I usually just voice my opinion and get no real reply to it, which leads to a "post 'n go"-mentality.

The thing is that in a lot of discussions people immediatly agree for either side A or side B, and the decent arguments stop flowing in. It's just a "I think A" and a "Well good for you, I think B" fest to which not much more can be added. This is perhaps also because a lot of the subjects being discussed here have no solid answer yet.

Well alot of the times its hard to read them all because so many people are posting at once, its hard to keep up and be able to state your own opinion.

Generally only when I'm interested, or it's my topic (since I create a lot of topics where I plan on debating people, reading replies is key). It doesn't actually take that long; most people will reply in short sentences, and the occasional one that has a lengthy post is generally worthy of a read-through.

Oh, and if I'm not interested, I won't post. My post count doesn't really matter to me. Refer to the two years I've been here; I only post occasionally, but I read through a lot of threads.

I (almost) ALWAYS read EVERY post in a topic before I post myself, even if there's 100+ posts. Why, you ask? To avoid the possibility of unintentionally repeating what somebody else already said. Why? I really dislike repeating what someone else said.

If it is a topic I am willing to post on I am going to read what others think because I only post on topics that I might be interested in.

The longer ones catch my eye as well...

And obviously you wouldnt post in a forum if u werent intrested, let alone read others opinions

On a serious note,I usually do read as many posts as I can, or at least skim them. It helps get a cohesive look at a thread

No, you'd be surprised. Some people will post on topics that don't interest them in the slightest, usually to ridicule someone or make pointless comments. They like to have a big post count, you see.

what if theres already been like 100 posts?
Then you read it anyway. I mean, if you aren't going to listen to others, what's the point of a forum? Besides, long threads can be interesting to read, like the "The Customer is Always Wrong" thread.
