No! I loved it! Still do!

Hearing the whine from my enemies, as me and my clan camp the shit outta them!

I liked it at first, but now Steam's screwed up on me, and for some reason won't let me update it to play.

No I don't regret it. I still play it today and while it is a pretty poorly balanced game it's still a lot of fun with friends, and I've racked up many hours playing it.

It was ok. I didn't completed SpecOps, but everything else was fine. Multiplayer was a bit too hard. Harder than the original Modern Warfare for sure.

No, i don't regret buying it and i don't know why so many people ***** and moan about it either. We get it - it's the cool thing to whine about Modern Warfare 2 - now stop it already. Seriously. You're embarrassing everybody.

Okay, so the PC community got screwed out of dedicated servers, is that really so surprising? And a short campaign? I've always held the idea that CoD games were meant to be played on Veteran, because otherwise you don't get the 'authentic wartime experience'. You just get a lulzy shooter with, let's face it, godmode. And if you treat the game like a slideshow of dramatic set pieces then that's all you're going to bloody well get.

I appreciate the drama. I appreciate the hammed up acting and story. I was thrilled when the EMP blast wrecked Russia's shit. It was exciting rushing to the whitehouse before everything would burn to cinders. I also appreciate the optional co-op focused side missions. I play those with my friends in split screen because guess what? Hardly any games cater for local co-op anymore.

I have and always shall enjoy that game. People complain and complain about it, but its fun. And that's what a game has got to be.

I regret it. The game was okay, multiplayer was fun for a while but got samey, campaign was fun I guess but the storyline was crappy to non existant and it felt liek they just redid all of the memorable and best bits form call of duty 4. Spec ops was a lot of fun with friends, but none of my friends play the spec-ops regularly. My only reason for regretting buying it was because it was in no way worth what they charged for it.

In short, yes I regret buying it. I guess after all the time I put into CoD4 the 'new' just kindof disappeared. Modern Warfare 2 wasn't nearly as fun for me in any aspect. I don't begrudge anyone for enjoying them, but I won't be buying any future installments, or Medal of Honor, or the new Ghost Recon or the next Battlefield. There is such a glut of semi-realistic modern era shooters now and it feels like I'm just bored with them as I got bored with World War 2 and the Halo universe as settings. Until there's a more unique shooter that offers something more to draw me in I'll just wait for AC: Brotherhood. The only 'shooter' type game I'm looking forward to, if you can call it that, is Deus Ex. IF the team can capture the magic they did with the original game, i'll be a happy gamer.

I'd say it was worth it. Despite not having online play, I've logged a little over a day of campaign play, around 14 hours of spec ops, and over a day and a half of splitscreen with a friend. And I've loved every minute of it. There, I said it. I like Modern Warfare 2.
Like you said though, you didn't play online.

Nah, the game is okay in itself. Just don't try and compare it to other FPS games and it's fine. They spent all their time trying to make a decent multiplayer game and they did. Lets face it, whether we hate the multiplayer or not we keep going back to it because it's fun using those models and G18s to blast a hole in someones face and know they're shouting profanities on the other side. It's fun, whether you like it or not.

IW just need to spend more time detailing their games, adding an actual story and trying to keep it all balanced.

MP is fun i cant deny that. they had the perks i needed to play the style i like. An invisible Commando and Sniper. BUT regret paying $60 for a 4 hour SP experience tho :(

i'll be damned if i buy them stupidass map packs.

Yes i do somewhat. The amount of modded servers and people who use various 3rd party aps (like aimbots and wallhacks) is growing. It's seriously ruining the experience for me. If it gets any worse I will uninstall the game.

Sure the single player got a little retarded and I didn't play multiplayer that much because that gets agitating, but it was fun playing spec ops and through the short campaign so no it was worth it.

I never really thought about it, but yeah, I actually kind of do. There are much better games I could have bought.

I got a free weekend for it from Steam, and the multiplayer is the most unbalanced piece of shit I've ever played.

I spent the entire time respawning from dying at the hands of bombs, nukes and helicopter gunships.
heh thought so too until i got the ColdBlooded Pro perk. lovely when no automated attack objects (coppers, sentries, claymores) can see you \o/

I didn't pay anything for my copy, I had a 360 that was circling the drain, and my friend wanted it ( hell if I know why ) so I told him Id give him like $60 for it, I wanted MW2 anyways, he just got the game directly and I swapped him for it. I regret not buying it for PC though.
