Im guessing a majority of people are going to say no
I just hate that 'you'll regret it forever' stereotype, especcially now that laser removal is becoming much cheaper and more effective.

I didn't get my first tattoo until I was in my late twenties. I went big; I got a European dragon that takes up the entire length of my forearm. I love it. I have a white tiger standing in a waterfall on my right arm that's the same size. There's more I want to add to them; but time and money haven't been plentiful these past few years.

Just done a check, obviously it takes many sessions to remove a tattoo but it can go for as low as 20 bucks a day, so obviously tattoos are no longer as 'forever' as they used to be,

Heres a vid if anyones interested, does look like it stings :p

I'd say it's very dangerous to approach tattoos as anything less than permanent, as will many artists themselves.

I don't regret my first tattoo, although I now have incorporated it into a sleeve on my leg (why aren't they called leggings? :D ). For anyone thinking of one I'd say pick an artist wisely, be prepared to travel and approach tattoos with a money-no-object mindset (within reason, £2,000 an hour might be unreasonable but £80 is not) - oh, and bigger tend to be better due to the ability to insert more detail.

Haven't got it yet. I'm not getting it big and I'm not putting it anywhere embarrassing so I don't know why I'll be embarrassed of Zapdos in 40 years. Other than the fact it will realistically degenerate with age.

Would you mind showing us a few pics? Your tattoos sound cool.

I don't, and (most likely) never will regret my first tattoo. I got a maple leaf on my right calf, and as a proud Canadian it makes me happy. I want more, but I'm broke and it did takeme five years to decide on a design I was happy with, so I'm not in that big a hurry.

I don't have any tattoos yet. I'm a sissy that doesn't want to do one until I'm 100% sure I really want it on my body for the rest of my life. :(

Surgical tatoo so they'd know where to cut. Can't really say I could have done without it.

I acctually had my tattoo drawn up by a co-worker (and fantastic artist). I understand what you're saying, but I have almost no artisitc talent.

I know it's a terrible photo, but thats all I got

Nah, I don't regret it; doubt I ever will. It's a part of me, and it denotes part of my development as a person.

I don't have a tattoo yet, but my fear that I'll regret it is keeping me from doing it.

For a long time now I've wanted two feathers tattooed on my wrist. Lately I've been thinking I should place one on each wrist so there can be more detail to them.

The fact is, that I won't exactly be able to cover them up. But then again, I do want them in a place where I can see them everyday.

So yeah.

I wonder if many people'll regret their first tattoo. I've always had the idea that the first tattoo is one you carefully think about before getting it, thus possibly reducing the chances of regretting it.

Nah, I'm happy with mine. Looked a bit shit at first, this tiny little thing in the middle of my forearm but its built into a sleeve now and looks great.

My second one I regretted, cause that looked shit and I couldnt do anything with it. So it's been covered by the rest of my sleeve and now you can't even tell it's there.

I actually put no thought into my first tattoo. I was out with a girl, she said, 'lets get tattoos!' and I just went with it, picked a random picture that I thought looked cool out of a book. I'm now quite heavily covered.

Nope.
My tattoo is still awesome.
I got a third nipple tattooed on the middle of my chest, between the real ones.

I'd show you my newest one if i knew how to put pics up here, if i even can (being that i am still new).
Assuming its saved to a website, type [ img] but with no spaces. Then put in the image url. Then type [/img]
If its not on a website, the only way I know how is to upload it to a site like photobucket (it's free) and just get the image url from there.
If it's on facebook (mine are) then just right click the image, and click on 'copy image url' then just paste that between your [im g] and [/img]
Hope this helps.
