Its recently come to my attention that I never share my problems, even if I really need it, and rarely ask for help which has its benefits but a lot of.. not benefits.

I'm not sure why I don't because I don't judge other people for it or think they're weak for doing it but I always feel that people wouldn't, and shouldn't, care about my problems because everyone has their own to worry about and I should be able to manage on my own.

Anyway this could be any kind of problem from big to small so please feel free to elaborate on if you do or don't and why you do or don't. This could also serve for a place for people to vent their problems to at least get them out in some form.

I don't. Partly because I don't want to, and partly because I'm too lazy.

I do. I find it helps, and most of my friends give good advice.

I give good advice to others, but I'm kinda crap at coming up with solutions to my own problems.

I don't share my problems, but I like to hear of the problems of others. Perhaps I'm sick and twisted, delighting in the variations in the lives of my friends, or perhaps I'm a good friend for being interested in my friends.

Anyways, sharing is communism dagnabbit!

If sharing is caring and sharing is communism does caring = communism?

Edit: I also like to hear other people's problems but only if they're relatively important. I just like to be able to give advice and certainly do not enjoy hearing their lives are as miserable as mine, not at all. But I hate when people do this and blow their problems out of proportion, like when people complain about the weather, dear god that stuff nearly sends me into a seizure.

I used to keep all my problems to myself, but that didn't exactly do me any good. Luckily I've grown up a bit since then and learned to ask for help when needed. Simply talking about something can make a huge difference, even if it's just in the way I feel about those problems.

I find my self being more like that to be honest.

I too, don't know what it makes me.

Not really. Pure stubbornness drives me to sort them out myself. But then again, I pay so little attention to life now that I don't have any problems to complain about.

I recently discovered how much better things can get, even if only for a little while, by talking about my problems even if it is more of a necessity in this situation. I still feel a little uncomfortable opening up. The way I feel about those problems has also changed a little too because of it.

You don't have to care to be a successful entrepreneur son.

Is it pushing the stereotype too far if I wear a cowboy hat with my suit?

I always admit any huge problems I have to my friends, just so that way we can all make jokes about the problems.

Not at all. Exploit that stereotype until its panting and you are covered in its success.

I never complain about my problems to other people (introverted), because they usually have enough of their own to deal with. Likewise I don't expect people to seek my sympathy for their problems.

However if someone does ask me for help, I will still help them anyway... if I like them.

Only to the people who don't want to hear them... I really need to go to bars more often.

It takes YEARS to gain my trust, and even when you do I'll only share big stuff. I don't have irrational fears of them telling everyone, I just like being able to deal with my own problems by myself.
