Simple enough question: do you shout at your TV/monitor?

I sure do. Quite a bit when I watch sports.

I'm generally pretty quiet when playing single player games, unless an NPC keeps talking, screaming, and running all over the place in the middle of a battle... especially when they are giving you instructions like "hurry! get to the helicopter!" and just keep repeating it over and over... grrrr...

Multiplayer games I tend to be pretty vocal, so much so my voice chat has to be set for push-to-speak.

Kind of funny how I can shout "you fucking dickhead!" at Tom Brady and no one thinks any thing of it, but if I yell "you fucking dickhead!" to ballzeater5000 everyone treats me like I'm crazy, and of course remind me "it's just a game".

No because I'm an adult.

Seriously I play games to enjoy myself, if I come across someone who takes video games so seriously they scream at their TV screans I mute and file complaints.

Sometimes. While I was vacationing in California with my family, I saw a Scientology commercial on TV in my bedroom. I threw a tissue box and a sock at it.

EDIT: Oh, you mean gaming. Well in that case, yes I do yell at my monitor sometimes.

I do this when playing online and in a party chat with my friends. Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, for example, or Left 4 Dead when one of our team members is acting stupid and attacking the Witch.

Yeah... that's a different kind of shouting. I don't shout at people [usually], just at inanimate objects.

I don't shout, but I do talk to inanimate objects and games. Not in multiplayer, however.

That made me laugh.

Yes, I do yell at my monitor, usually after my death and usually blaming the game for being cheap. Or the other player for camping or knowing the perfect sniping spot...

I went for all the time because I felt it fit me best - I do shout at games, usually "Oh, you [insert expletive - the more colourful the better]!", and I do sometimes when watching sport, in a similar manner to above. Okay, I admit it, I almost broke my TV playing World at War on Veteran, but usually I'm pretty relaxed, even if I'm swearing my head off.

I yell when gaming, especially during boss battles.

The only time I yell when watching sports is when it's an MMA bout.

When I was younger I was playing Battlefield 1942 and the computer put me on the axis, locking me in to balance the teams. I started screaming "I DON'T WANT TO BE A NAZI! I DON'T WANT TO BE A NAZI!" over and over. My dad walked into the room and was just like "What the hell are you doing? Stop it."

That was the last time I screamed at a video game...

It's hard for me to get worked up in a bad way over a video game. If I'm in a party with friends, I can be quite vocal, however. Still, it only tends to be in a positive manner.

I can't say I've ever yelled at my tv while watching a show (much less at my microwave...), but I do have a tendency to yell or swear loudly when I get into trouble while playing video games (such as coming across an enemy I know I have no chance of winning against) or if something jumps at me out of the blue (had a few moments in Bioshock that had me swearing like a sailor).

I would love to challenge the people who don't yell during games to play Super Meat Boy while recording their audio. xD

Talking to the cat only becomes a concern when it talks backs.

Whenever I get pissed enough I start the profanity...

"Fuck you, Slash! With your Lefty Flip, and all your Doubles at the same time!!"

Only when I'm playing League of Legends. Oh dear - I get much rage when playing that but that's still half the fun.

No worries then. He hasn't managed that... yet.

I yell at the TV when I watch sports, which rather fits in with everyone else I know. Call it leaned behavior perhaps.
