Poll: Do you smoke tobacco?

There is an ongoing thread about lighters and I noticed in it that most people said they owned lighters but also said they don't smoke anything.

I personally have quite an affinity towards tobacco. Also a physical addiction.

I've been smoking tobacco somewhat since December but only very frequently (around half a pack a day) since this semester started to keep me awake in between classes.

So, do you smoke? If not, did you used to?

With my asthma so prevalent I doubt I'll ever smoke.
I am not above using pipes for bubbles though.

I started smoking about 10 years ago. But since I discovered the joys of snus [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snus] it has been less.

Only times I've used snus were times when I had some withdrawal and it was the only thing around. Not nearly as unpleasant as people make it out to be, but I love playing with smoke in my mouth.

No, the smell gives me a headache and the smoke makes me cough a lot, but I do like to pretend that lollipops and toothpicks are cigarettes, that counts, right?
In all seriousness though I highly dislike the smell of it I do think it looks quite classy, specially those really long ones and the pipes, would be great to do if I had a monocle, I'll probably get a fancy pipe and just use it to blow soap bubbles and I'll look really classy doing it.

I had friends in high school that smoked. Tried it one time, and felt like I was going to cough my lung out of my mouth. I decided after that one attempt that it wasn't for me. Never even tried drugs or alcohol, so that one attempt at smoking was the sum of my teenage rebellion against rules.

I stopped smoking after a doctor said I suffer from chronic pneumonia. Just didn't seem smart to damage my lungs any more than necessarily. Shame too I loved to smoke.

Smoking is awesome and I encourage all of you to start. The best bit is being able to take a break 10 minutes out of every hour.

Only socially, I enjoy it but I know it pretty much is killing you (also its expensive as hell here and I'm broke lol) so if I'm having a drink with mates then yeah.

Unfortunately i do. Have tried to stop two times but failed Not sure when i'll give that third attempt a shot. Smoking is pointless and is only satisfying due to the addiction.

I'll occasionally have a smoke when I'm out drinking, but thoroughly regret it the next morning when my mouth feels horrible. So I use snus instead, like the solidified (and probably uncomfortable) wiping tool I've quoted.

But... But nicotine is so nice! Also, I live in a city, so the nearest lake isn't within walking distance.

Only pipes and cigars, and no more than once a week (to prevent addiction), and only outside, and when it's not raining (I live near Seattle).

It's my little reward to myself for making it through the week without choking some... one.

It's nice to just stand on the balcony, enjoying the weather and watching the world go by while blowing smoke rings; or rather, trying to blow smoke rings. I'm working on it, okay?
