My religion forbids smoking (three guesses as to which church i go to), but even now when I'm thinking more about my decisions instead of just doing stuff because I'm told to, I still wouldn't smoke. It's bad for you, its expensive, and it makes you smell DISGUSTING.
To be honest, I've never heard of an actual church that forbids smoking. Which one is it?

(I have a feeling I'll feel like an idiot and it'll be fairly obvious after hearing the answer XD)

Such as?
I've mentioned my own poison too many times on this forum already, and I would not like to be seen to be advocating any particular illegal or possibly dangerous activities, I was being deliberately vague.

I see an epic flaming coming my way, but I belong to "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints". Or Mormons, you might know us as.

Please, nobody flame me. I'm too young!

I find smoking to be gross, and the risks of it far outweigh being "cool" to me.
I could not have put it better myself. It costs money too, like, lots. Some people even use like a quarter of their earnings smoking.

Thats just crazy, and I bet they all shout "I don't have a problem, I can quit any time I want, I just don't want to!". Those people are just putting their foot in the grave.

Ah, ok... not as obvious as I would have thought, but it does seem like something that church would do. And I won't flame you or troll you or anything. Call me corny, but although I disagree with your faith I would defend your right to believe whatever you want.

... Except Scientology.

We don't really get Mormons in Australia, but that doesn't surprise me as the church originated in the US.

I smoke, because I'm addicted.

Hey kids, word of advice: don't start. Not even once, just for the taste. Not 'just socially', not 'just on weekends', not because you're curious, just don't.

*lights up*

Edit:

I personally find smoking to be an unattractive asset, which is the reason I that I have never tried it.

Yeah, Embassy Number 1. I only have like 2 a day or so weekdays, but at the weekend when I go out drinking with mates, I can quite easily go through a whole pack. It has lost it's appeal somewhat though, I need to quit for my fiancée.

Mostly I smoke when I'm stressed. So, I had like two cigarettes in February, but a pack so far this month. Finals Week starts tomorrow. And as for:

I also won't date girls that smoke, as I find it horrible.
A woman who is otherwise classy, who smokes, is really hot. One time I was dating a girl and we were both smoking. She took a drag off a cigarette and blew the smoke into my mouth, while kissing me. Hottest thing ever.

I smoke. A lot.
It's a pretty nasty addiction and sooner or later I'll have to give it up but I couldn't quit now. I still enjoy it far too much. I'm lucky to be working in Luxembourg where tobacco is pretty cheap.

I don't have a problem with all those non-smoking regulations nowadays and I understand that non-smokers shouldn't have to inhale our smoke but the one thing that really pisses me off is that you can't smoke at most concerts anymore. It's Rock 'n Roll for crying out loud!

I started off as an occasional weekend smoker. At first it was just Friday nights, then just weekends. Then if you have some left over on Monday why not? Then if your out after school or something, then yeah buy a packet, I mean I'm still not smoking that much right?

Now i smoke every day. I know there isn't a point to it. But I'll admit i started out smoking with my friends to be cool but it was just occasional. But one thing I have seen is that no one can remain an occasional smoker.

NO ONE!!

EDIT: except my mum.
