I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't even curse.

if I want to relieve stess, that's what video games are for, well it's video games or watching Pucca on Youtube. either way, I know both means are much healthier than smoking.

I can also say this much: I think my bioligical ex-mom used to smoke Marijuana. my dad once told me so, and my ex-mom after I told her about what I learned about how bad marijuana is said to be at school, but she responded by telling me that marijuana is less hazardous than tabacco. I never believed her about that.

I smoke weed about once every 3 or 4 months (I f*cking hate not having total control over my brain, thus I hate being high), and I've smoked one (1) cigarette in my life, and only because I was high and I thought someone was offering me more weed.
Same here...on the cig thing, but as for high...w/e floats ur boat, i love the feeling of high, just relaxed an everything is funny

Given the sheer number of chemicals in those things i wouldn't be surprised if some of them didn't get broken down, actually i'd be surprised if there wasn't. kinda likehow lsd stays in your system indefinetlt (at least i think that's th one)
LSD doesn't stay in your system forever; it's almost entirely metabolized within a day of taking it.
Well there is one drug that stays in your system indeffinetly... forget which now.

Yes I smoke. And the reason is you is because I feel that life's too short to take away any of the little pleasures that come out of it. And yes I know the dangers of doing it - I can list a whole bunch of reasons and go into reasonable detail on them too - but still it's sociable (so long as you with other smokers).

I can understand why other people don't like it, it smells pretty bad, subsequently your clothes smell, it's amazingly bad for you, your breath smells aweful and it's expensive. But what so many people (who don't smoke) seem to forget, not care about or whatever, is that for the vast majority of smokers it's actaully an enjoyable habit; if I/we didn't get any pleasure out of it I/we would give up in a heart beat. (And no I don't believe in the "fake enjoyment" theory.)

No, I don't smoke. I realize everyone is going to die someday but I sure as hell don't want to pay for it. None of my best friends do so there isn't really a point. I need that many for Video Games anyways.... But I have nothing against smokers. Both my parents and my frandma smoke avidly. And I hang out with a lot of people who smoke weed (even though as I said none of my best friends do)

I smoke cigarettes, and I'm tired of all the smoker hate. I engage in a habit that I enjoy, I don't throw my cigarette butts on the ground. They either go into an ashtray, a designated cigarette receptacle, or I rub the embers out and put them in a trash can. Plus the copious amount of taxes levied by the US government on cigarettes go to many programs that everyone loves, so really I'm helping the country. Honestly a three dollar increase in taxes over 6 years is insane. Oh and I don't blow smoke in non-smokers faces, the wind is out of my control, but I ask if it's okay if I smoke around a non-smoker beforehand. Also I don't smoke around children, and again I always try to stay downwind of non-smokers.
And honestly, the emissions from vehicles and factories smell far worse, the industrial chemicals and fossil fuel burnings are probably worse for your health, and I don't think I've ever heard smokers being blamed for global climate change.
But yes, popular consensus is that we're all evil bastards.

I come from a family with very a very long line of two things I'd rather avoid: mental illness, and an addiction to tobacco.

and so far I'd say I'm doing pretty damn well on both scores, when I was 5 I asked my mom why she smoked, she responded by handing me a lit cigarette, I took a puff and threw up out the open window of the car we were in, haven't touched a cigarette since. I don't look down on people who smoke, it's just not for me.

I hate smokers. What makes it so damn cool?
I saw a sign once, on some cool sign list, that had a section of road marked out, roughly 3/4 of a square meter. It said in the middle "This is how much tar you put in your lungs after one year of smoking".
They should ban them and let people kill themselves trying to make their own. It would be hilarious and get most of the murky addiction inheritances out of the gene pool.
Yes, this is pretty ranty and one-sided, but what IS the upside of smoking?

I admit, I'm partial to shisha (or hookah, if you prefer) but then that's more a communal/bonding thing anyway.

The irrational hatred of smokers still confuses me. It seems like peoples reactions to someones choice is a massive hyperbole, brought on by fear campaigning.

On one hand, you have people saying that smokers are killing themselves, and endangering others - this is a bad thing. On the other hand, there is the "die smokers, die!" suggestion with some support, which makes me wonder just how insane a lot of you people are.

Killing smokers (Because death is good, right?) because they do something that shortens their lifespan (so death is bad, right?)... seems contradictory in nature.

I smoke all of such choices and love every second of it. Yes, I know they're all horrible and murdering me slowly from the inside and blah blah blah.

There is nothing better than good scotch and a nice cigar.

I smoke from time to time. Well, since this is about smoking I would like to get something off my chest: I HATE people who tell me that it is bad. Yes, I fucking KNOW it is. Don't make it your personal quest to make me reconsider it! God...

This wasn't intended to anyone specific on this forum, I just wanted to say it :/

I don't smoke. Waste of money and time.

I love stogie cigars, but purely the smell, not smoking them.
