Does no one smoke pipes here? I smoke a variety of pipe blends, my favourite being Captain Black (American version as danish seems to have been discontinued).

I went to see the Doctor today and he started the usual "thou should not smoke for it is harmful" routine when I said I smoke pipes, the response was "Oh? well that's fine."

Edit: Ahh fellow pipe smokers....

Let's snip to that point:
Just making you aware "feel free to continue if you like".
RAWR! I'M ANGRY! LOOT AT THE EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!! (Joking)

See this? That's something I like. Even if you're telling the facts, you're adding the magical part.
Of course far be it from me to push my opinions on others, like i said earlier in the thread the smell makes me feel ill but that's no reason to shout at people for it.

My insurance goes up $20 a paycheck this year because my hubby smokes...
Job is also giving free quit support... hubby still isn't ready. F-that.
Die smoker die... quicker that happens less of an insurance liability for everyone.
(making insurance nominations this month... so it's a bit of a raw subject at the moment.) LOL!

I quit a few months back. I will never deny that I bloody loved it though. If there was a way that I could smoke with no negative health effects besides nicotine addiction, I definitely would. Mmmmmm, nicotine.

Murder blamed on the companies that make cigarettes. They're giving a lethal product to millions.
So does McDonald's and Burger King, but those aren't "drugs" so it doesn't get attention.

Edit: OT - All I do is smoke weed.

Not really of course, but I like to smoke weed.

I have a few friends that smoke marijuana. I don't like smoking, but I don't think they should ban it. It's their rights.

The main differnece is fast food is only bad if you have to much of it, tobacco is inherantly harmful regardless of amount

I used to smoke, but I gave up, I just didn't have the willpower to carry on.

Nowadays, I don't smoke, but as a big porky bloke, I'm concerned about the way the smokers are slowly being whittled down to only being able to smoke in tiny areas, and I fear, they'll be coming for me next!

They came for the smokers, and I said nothing, then they came for the drinkers, and I said nothing, cos I had a mouthful of cheeseburger, and then they came for me and I was too fat to run away.

Or something like that.

I used to smoke a little, and I'd smoke weed if it was around, but I didn't go hunting it down, just taking a quick draw if it was being passed around.

Not really; the amount of fat, cholesterol, calories, etcetera in fast-food is unhealthy for anyone, regardless of quantity. If you have it once, it's still bad for you, but most likely won't do any real damage. With cigarettes, the carcinogens and tar in it are bad for anyone, but one cigarette is unlikely to do any real damage.

I'm a quitter. My bad habit hurt my parents real bad when they found out about it and I felt guilty. My grandmother died from smoking related causes and my grandfather died of cancer, both on my mothers side. And I only started smoking because I was going through depression at the time. So I quit and I've never felt better.
