The only game I win at is Rock Band, but I play World at War more than any other...my average k/d is 5/8. Heeeh. But when I play Nazi Zombies I my average level is 21 :3

Well I play 2 shooters on fairly high ranked teams on Aus ladders.
I'm also fairly good at RTS, and considering I had never really been interested in them until Dawn of War thats quite a feat.
I'm ok at platformers and the like - I can beat them but I'm no speed runner.
RPG's are hard to say, I can certainly roleplay in any TES game (im evil and im gonna stab you for ur shinies!. I was pretty damned good at WoW, was the first Druid tank on my server to be accepted in a top end guild.

I learn fast enough to not look utterly terrible when other people are around to watch me. That's the key.
But mostly I remain 'good' within the how the game defines it. I can usually master all the techniques most games aim for you to know by the end. I never find those secret, fantastic moves that the game doesn't hint at or give any clue to. That's beyond me.

I'm a quick learner, and can pick up most games pretty quickly. FPS will always be my best genre, on both PC and console. I used to be really good at RTS, now I'm just too sluggish and suck at micromanagement, but I can be quite decent if I put some time in it. I think I can even become pretty good at rhythm games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band if I would practice, too bad I usually ragequit, I just need some determination. I managed with Donkey Konga.
There are just 2 genres I just fail at no matter what I do: combo games (not really a genre, but I mean games like Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur, just games with massive lists of combo's) and most racing games. I just can't remember all those combo's and execute them in a split-second. As for racers, Mario Kart or something is fine, but place a Grand Turismo or even one of the many Need for Speeds in front of me, and I ragequit in seconds.

Oh, I absolutely suck at all games. Doesn't mean I don't enjoy them though 
I'm only good at singleplayer (J)RPG's. Which means I like games with pointless grinding. But only knowing that there is an end to it and that you can complete the game.

If you're confident enough to brag about hunter skills, I won't doubt you. I would be the exact opposite- very effective with boomer, very hit/miss with hunter.versoth said:
When it comes to anything but RTSs, I'm usually the winner out of my circle of friends. Seriously, my Battle.net record is pitiful.
lets see games i suck at every fps and fighting game every made really the only game i'm even remotlly good at is guitar hero but i have friend who can get like 90% on through the fire and the flames on expert
I'm decent to pretty good at FPS/TPS, platformers and most types of action games. Depends on the game. I can play a decent game of RTS. I suck at fighter, sports and racing games.
I'm good because I'm so old and I've been playing for so long. I'm so old I had no idea what MLG meant.
Being good certainly sucks for me when playing against friends as there's never any competition so it gets boring. Especially as you get older and people aren't as impressed by someone who can play video games well (if that ever happens).
That's why I lean toward team games these days. Team Fortress 2 is a good game if you suck. Just be a medic and help everyone out or volunteer to play bass on Rock Band.

Yeah I'm not very good at video games. I have really bad hand eye co-ordination and my brain works too slow to process a lot of the colours sometimes XD I can't play Tekken at all D=
It took me a ridiculously long time to beat RE4 on pro, I suck at Halo and COD, Final Fantasy games fuck me up the arse and I don't even wanna talk about racing games. Burnout:Revenge sent me into a fucking coma XD

I'm great at strategy and guitar hero games. I can't shoot to save my life though so I don't indulge in FPS most fo the time. Wolfenstein is an exception.
